I woudl defitively recomend this place. It was clean, attention was good, close to UN Plaza so well located, and it was very affordable. Some people could complain about the noise that the wooden structure make given the fact that it's an old building; not a problem to me at all though. Overall, worth paying for.

I've stayed here a # of times in the past & have been satisfied. However, I wasn't this time. They have construction underway across the alley & they start @7am week days m-f. They didn't even give a discount for the tremendous inconvenience! I'm taking my business elsewhere in the near future; framing construction won't be completed until early November 2015. Also, I wouldn't recommend this hotel in the summer, as with many older SF buildings, they have no AC. The free WiFi was absolutely useless.

BED BUGS!!!!!!! This hotle has freaking bed bugs crawling in the headboards, not to mention that if you decide to leave and if you paid to have your car taking into the valet. Good luck getting it out any time before 6am. Since it's a "3rd party" they have no way of helping you to get it out or being able to refund you for the "inconvenience". Not to mention no back up plan to help you out at all. They will only offer a room change and a refund with a five day wait period. And then there is no climate control, except for a one speed setting of a broken ceiling fan.

You probably already know what you're looking for in a hotel if you've found this place. The price says it all... it's not some hellhole in the Tenderloin or anything, but it's sure as heck not the Ritz. In a city as obscenely over-priced as San Francisco is, this is a suitable option for economical (for the region) lodging. The elevator probably hasn't been modernized since the 1st Bush was in office, and i'm betting that the rooms haven't seen any updating since Clinton, but we felt safe and perfectly fine staying here. Biggest complaint: the plumbing. When you get your room, run the tub immediately and see if it drains. Ours was intolerably slow. They weren't able to fix it and chatter with other guests made it seem simply like some rooms are like that. Also, if you Valet your car (which you will have to do if you have a vehicle, no parking for miles) plan on it being parked out past Oakland or possibly in Nevada. It took --no joke-- an hour or more sometimes for the hotel to bring the car when we asked for it. Worth the price? In any other city (save for maybe D.C.) the answer would be "probably not" but in the Bay Area, this is probably as good as it gets for travel on the cheap.

Great value for money! I traveled with a friend and we only used the hotel to sleep and shower. Despite the bar under the hotel we never heard noise so we got a pretty good rest at night, the bed and pillows were comfortable. Cable TV available in a 32" screen Bathroom is clean and hot water always available so shower was totally Ok too. We never had breakfast at the hotel but I saw some muffins available and some minute maid juice. I did not have a car so I wouldn't know about the parking but for public transportation the location is good just a few blocks from market Street, Union Square, the ball park and there's a nice pizza place nearby. Totally recommend the place if you're just looking for a place to sleep and shower in a private bathroom plus a good location; ideal if you do not have a car. Plus it is an affordable place.

You Get What You Pay For... Let me start off and say, it's not horrible, but it ain't the Ritz either - though, to be realistic - *insert title*. 1.) Parking - $40 a night, and it's valet - BUT it's 10 blocks away and requires 30-40 minutes notice before they can bring your car back (wth) 2.) Rooms - They are nice, clean, spacious, nice decor, staff are friendly, but it is a smaller hotel. They get points for their shampoo and soap dispenser in the shower. 3.) Technology - There WiFi is spotty at best...there was different things in the area you can connect to, but I'm unsure what they are. There is one I connected to that says room works great, but I don't know if it's their's or not. Though if it is, when I called the front desk they should have told me. They don't have a printer and their "Technology Center" consist of a computer in an already small lobby. They did offer to print things out if I could e-mail it to them. All in all, okay...definitely a pick if you're local and/or don't have a car, just saying for a night, stayaction, type thing. They are definitely trying, and helpful and accommodating, but if you are on vacation, just spurge and stay else where.

Good location in SOMA, street parking for $26 a night valet, small rooms but everything you need for a quick stay, friendly staff and a good value.

Bed and table were clean. Bathroom was fairly clean, although the toilet seat was falling off. All furniture is dated and unappealing, covered in stains. Walls are paper thin and hotel is situated above a loud bar / club that plays music until 2am... good luck sleeping.
