Dear ITS Podcast follower,
We are starting a new contest to find the “best” follower of the show. This is our way of thanking you, our listeners for helping, to grow this podcast by spreading the word.
The contest will be open the first day of 2014 until April 30. During this time period, we will determine who is the most active listener based on activities to inform others about ITS Podcast. The winner will receive a brand new iPad, so you can listen and follow the show on a fancy new device.
In order to be eligible for the contest, each entrant must send proof of his/her dissemination efforts to firstname.lastname@example.org. All dissemination efforts will be taken into consideration but must be documented to be included in the contest. Examples efforts include: printed promotional flyers, email blasts to your department, university, or corporation email distribution lists, or social media. Please be sure to email email@example.com copies of your flyers, as a cc’d address for the mailing lists, and share your Facebook, Google+, and Twitter posts with our show.
The contest winner will be announced on the May 2014 ITS Podcast episode, at a special edition on the first anniversary of the show. So, don’t waste another minute and start spreading the word.
This is a special episode about the recent successful Intelligent Transportation Systems Society’s flagship Conference, ITSC 2013 that has just happened from October 6 to 9 in the Hague, at the Netherlands.
It has truly been a conference to be remembered, thanks to the superb organization of Professor Bart van Arem, who served as General Chair, the scientific lead of Professor Andreas Hegyi, its Program Chair, the rest of their organizing committee, and a big number of people, also volunteers, who contributed acting as Associate Editors, Reviewers and of course Authors.
In this special ITS Podcast edition you will enjoy a number of testimonies on this great event, plus a very interesting interview to one of the Keynote speakers, Professor Matthew Karlaftis, on Big Data Analysis for ITS, using Artificial Intelligence.
We have Professor Bart van Arem, general chair for ITSC2013, Professor Andreas Hegyi, Program Chair, Professor Christoph Stiller, President of the ITS Society and Mr. Andrew Chatham, from Google Self-Driving Car Team.
