When I go out for seafood at a restaurant of this caliber I typically expect the food to be of the same level. I absolutely love a lightly seared/rare tuna steak that has a deep red color of the meat. Unfortunately, the tuna steak that I had here was over cooked and probably closer to medium, which if you enjoy tuna just ruined the dish. Also, the meat was this watermelon pink/red and did not appear to be of a high quality grade/cut of tuna to start with. Overall, this was one of the worse tuna steaks that I have ever ordered. In the end, very disappointed with this restaurant and the place appears to be one of the restaurants that you would go to in order to be seen verses having a delicious meal.

One of the best in the area. Great atmosphere and the food is incredible, well worth it.

No alcoholic beverages. Water and Diet Coke. Appetizer was the calamari - very good, tasty. Salad was too salty - really a salty salad? Terrible. Main course - filet again too salty. Potato dish - salty - spinach side was bland - Stouffers creamed spinach was better. The chocolate dessert was great. Overall a total waste of money. Dined on a Thursday - the place was packed. I don't get it. The food was like Appleby's - other than appetizer and dessert VERY SUB PAR food. Pretentious place and still kicking myself for not sending the food back - kept thinking - this food cannot be this salty - but it was overpowering. WASTE OF MONEY PEOPLE!

You know the story...'reviewers' are often overly impressed or horribly disappointed. Well count me in! Any restaurant that prides itself as 'extraordinary' and charges $35+ for an a la carte steak, $11 for a salad, $15 for an appetizer, etc., deserves honest feedback from dissatisfied patrons. We are happy to pay for extraordinary service and food. With that said, we had a terrible experience at Ocean Prime. It was not par with 'ordinary' let alone 'extraordinary'. Our party of four waited for an hour for our food to be served. A 'manager' did approach our table at some point and promised that it would be delivered momentarily. When the meals arrived, two of two steaks were barely warm and not cooked to order. The sides were cold as well. Two of us ordered the featured red snapper. The squash puree, on which it was served, was room temperature. We sent everything back. When the meals were 'redone' and returned, they were NO better! The 'manager' agreed that the steaks were not hot and not cooked to order (ever see "medium rare" with NO pink or red?), and the squash puree not warmed at all. The "medium" steak was gray & charred. The fish was good. The 'manager' offered to give it a 3rd try. We declined; three strikes. He then offered to waive the charges for the entrees and presented us with a bill for our six glasses of moderately-priced wines, one appetizer, one soup, and three salads...about $140. We paid our bill and politely let the manager know that we would have been embarrassed to charge guests for such a failed experience. He agreed and said he would waive our charges; we left the restaurant, it was not about the money. The manager caught up with us in front of the building and again apologized for his lack of response and said he waived the charges. Our evening at Ocean Prime seemed extraordinarily amateur. We will not return. I hope honest feedback will inspire them to review their business from top to bottom. At least we shared the evening with great friends (grateful that we weren't entertaining clients).

Quality of service and food are on a steady decline here. I have always had a problem when ordering a steak. Any restaurant that charges $40+ for an a la carte steak should be able to properly cook it. Other entrees have been just OK. The drinks and desserts have been the only redeeming quality of Ocean Prime, but the price tag does not justify returning anymore. Side note - valet is a joke here. I can't believe people utilize it. It gets you 20 feet closer to the entrance as there is ALWAYS available parking.

Ocean Prime has a vibrant environment. It's considered upper scale, and the waiters will remind you of that with their tact and etiquette. As far as their seafood goes, it is not so prime, and a bit overpriced. However, their appetizers are really amazing and overall its a pleasant spot to dine.
