Having a Star Wars weekend- and Machete Order rocks! It makes a great way to enjoy the whole saga.
Of course, a couple things pop up when doing it as a marathon...
1. What is the deal with chopping off hands and arms? Luke, C-3PO, the guy in the cantina, Darth Grevious, Anakin, and at least one other person per episode. It is a pretty specific injury and usually followed up with an image of the limb on the ground- often holding a weapon.
2. Who the heck is in charge of the battles? The attack plan on Hoth, for example, makes absolutely no sense. The Empire is taking out a single power generator and sends in 3+ giant armored machines, which means there was some sort of heavy landing craft involved. Why not just attack it from the sky? One pass- done.
3. This is a problem that sci-fi and comics, etc. share- inconsistent powers. Sometimes a light saber cuts through armor, sometimes it just makes sparks. Sometimes Jedi can almost fly, sometimes they just stand there. It goes on and on.
5. It seems like every technological device they have is the worst possible version of it. AT-ATs are way too complicated and heavy with way too little weaponry. Most of the ships look cool but make little sense- with Boba Fett's ship being a prime example.
