About time!  What a short sighted decision to stop training sailors to be sailors was.  If and or when we go to war with the Chinese don't put any money on satellite GPS working.  And, how can a Naval officer be called a sailor if he doesn't know how to use a sextant?  Finally, standing on the bridge wing on a clear night is an experience no one can explain to anyone who hasn't done it, and being able to decipher even a little of the riot that is the night sky makes everything else unimportant, really.

Kyle you have to read this.  It is a real break down of steps to address an issue I believe the typical mid grade officer cannot grasp.  Get this now and it will be important later.  Love you man

It's Ruby Tuesday. But, we loved the New Mediterranean Chicken Salad. Still miss the white chiken chili. but love this new salad.

Value for the dollar. Older venue, but clean and good staff.

Good Subway, lousing parking. The staff made a great Rueben, she really knew what she was doing. No Rye Bread. That really upped the Rueben.

Small shop, but fun. Eclectic like much of Deland. Stop in and pick up a Deland t-shirt or souvenir. Brandy was friendly, informative and a life long Deland native. How cool is that?

This is not a chain steakhouse. It is another reason to love Deland. Yes, it's old, revel in it. On the first visit one might think it needs some upgrades. Then you take your first bite of steak and you completely forget everything else. Try the 12 Oz prime rib, rare, with au jus and a touch of horseradish. Wonderful baked potato. The vegetables were mush but the side salad was Ok.
