Tighten up those groups.
After the utmost accuracy in your bolt-action rifle? Then neck sizing might just be the ticket.

The first of three articles on these big-bore bad boys!: http://ow.ly/yKS8p
The N-Frame Smith & Wesson revolver is available in configurations to suit just about every possible use. But at the end of the day, these big bore sixguns haven't changed that much since their introduction. That's true for one reason: They work.

Knowing what you've got!: http://ow.ly/yKRSS
Firearms collecting is a rewarding hobby. Firearms are part of our nation's history and represent an opportunity to learn more about their role in that American experience. If done skillfully, firearms collecting can be a profitable hobby as well.

Before you click, can you name the movie a sawed-off version of the 1887 co-stared with Arnold Schwarzenegger?
A lever-action shotgun seems strange nowadays, but the 1887 was one of the first repeating smoothbores to find market success.

Always wanted one of these.
Known for their development of the famed AR-15, ArmaLite had other tacticle trendsetters, too.

Back in the Carter economy I had a choice, give up shooting or give up my apartment. No way was I going to stop shooting, but I didn't want to be homeless either. So I found a third way. Today I am having trouble finding bullets, and so I find myself returning to that third way.

We Know Guns, So You Know Guns
Introduction
Gun Digest is the world's foremost authority on guns.

Our History…

Gun Digest Annual Book

Gun Digest is a longtime firearms-industry leader, with a publishing history reaching back into the golden age of World War II, with the inaugural 1944 first edition of the Gun Digest annual book.

Since that time, the Gun Digest annual has become crowned “the world’s greatest gun book.” That’s because Gun Digest is the trusted go-to guide for feature articles, new product reports and a completely illustrated firearms catalog, now in its 65th edition. Learn more about the Gun Digest book »

Other Gun Books

Gun Digest also publishes a wide-array of specialty books for gun collectors and those with interests in particular firearms on gun prices and gun values.

For example, the Standard Catalog of Firearms is the gun collector’s ultimate reference — a voluminous tome with over 1500 pages — and contains 7,500 photographs and extended descriptions that let you know exactly what you’ve got and what it’s worth.

You’ll find the Gun Digest imprint on manufacturer-specific Standard Catalogs, including the Standard Catalog of Smith & Wesson, Standard Catalog of Colt Firearms, Standard Catalog of Winchester Firearms, Standard Catalog of Remington Firearms, Standard Catalog of Browning Firearms, Standard Catalog of Military Firearms and the Standard Catalog of Civil War Firearms. So, no matter what gun tickles your fancy, there’s a Standard Catalog to help you buy, sell and collect it.

Even More Gun Books

Gun Digest the Magazine

In late fall of 2004, a tabloid-style gun classifieds newspaper, titled Gun List, was revamped. It would feature the same extensive gun classifieds and auction listings, but the new periodical was beefed up with feature articles and columns on gunsmithing, reloading, long-range shooting, shotgunning, gun collecting and commentary – the same quality information found in the annual book.

In 2006, Gun List underwent a name change to Gun Digest the Magazine; its editorial and classifieds format have remained intact ever since.

Published bi-weekly, Gun Digest the Magazine offers shooting enthusiasts the best and most current gun news, and firearms for sale. Plus, it features great articles from the best gun writers in the country.

Columnists include Brian McCombie, Charlie Cutshaw, Dave Morelli, Dave Workman, Walt Hampton, Scott Bestul, Scott Freigh, Dan Shideler, Phillip Peterson, Kevin Muramatsu and Nick Niles.

GunDigest.com Online

In the Introduction to the Gun Digest 2010 book, Editor Dan Shideler writes, “Gun Digest remains what it has always been: the world’s leading firearms annual. Many of the pieces contained in these pages were not written by professional gun writers but by just plain folks. We have never met a gun owner who didn’t have something interesting to say…”

It’s that sentiment that underscores what GunDigest.com is all about – a vibrant community. While there, you’ll find feature articles from our book and magazine authors, and our editors. You’ll see video reviews of guns and new accessories for shooting. But much like those “just plain folks” who comprise the authorship of the world’s greatest gun book, what makes GunDigest.com the foremost online authority for guns is you – the interaction you bring to the forums and blogs.

GunDigest.com is as much about the people who buy, sell, own, collect and shoot guns as the firearms themselves. And it all starts with you.
