Class Notes: 2-at-a-time, Top-down Socks
In September, I will be both vending and teaching knitting classes at the Georgia FiberFest. 27 knitting classes are offered, and among these classes will be my three.  I thought it might be of help to anyone who is interested in taking these classes if I e...

Georgia FiberFest: The Best Dinner in Town!
As a fiber arts vendor, I'm finding that the days of vendor dinners and vendor perks are gone.  The last few years it's been more like "here's your booth in the furthest corner we could find and if you want heat or air conditioning, there's an extra fee." W...

Let's spin!
Although the week is about over, this past week has been the Tour de Fleece (which coincides intentionally with the Tour de France in case you aren't a spinner ... yet!). Admittedly, I have not participated this year. I've been busy with sheep, farm, garden...

A Little Drama and Queen
Let me begin this post with a disclaimer:  What you are about to witness may be more than you, as a knitter, can handle.  It's ugly. It's really ugly. So, discretion is advised. I made a mistake.  I have my suspicions that this mistake is the result of a ch...

June is half over and I feel like I'm just spinning my wheels.  I finished a new pattern test knit, The Market Shawl, but I can't seem to get the time to photograph it so that I can post the pattern.  I have a new lace sweater design (it's fabulous in ever ...

Project Bags!!
I don't know about you, but I'm a woman who keeps a project handy in her purse, just in case. As a matter of a fact, I think I choose my purses based on how reasonably well I can fit a knitting project into them. I read just the other day on the Yarn Harlot...

August, already?
It would probably be odd if I didn't say that I have hit August having completely missed the mark on my plans for summer knitting.  Although these were fairly loose plans, I still managed to basically ignore them altogether.  There was a list of socks, and ...

A Good Day for Edging
My latest pattern, the Market Street Shawl , is such a favorite of mine that I've knit the body of a second one in Velvet ( colorway: Davy Jones ) in about a week. But, as I approached the cast on for the edging, it occurred to me that not everyone may unde...

The Market Street Shawl
It's really about time that I got around to publishing the Market Street Shawl pattern , don't you think?  This is the same shawl that I was sure that I would have finished last December in time for New Year's Day. Seriously. No kidding.  It's certainly not...

About Me ...
Introduction
I knit obsessively. I am the current owner of Cedar HIll Farm Company and former owner of Zibeline Knits @ Etsy, I'm a Ravelry (ID zibelineknits), Craftsy (ID zibelineknits), Patternfish, Craftsy, and Knit Picks knitwear designer, I teach knitting classes and I live in a small town in Northeast Georgia. I have three children, a husband, 7 dogs, a parade of cats, 8 chickens, and two rabbits. I knit obsessively, dye gorgeous artisan hand painted yarns, design knitwear, work on our farm (Cedar Hill Farm Company), and spin every now and then. I've been knitting for 30+ years. If I'm breathing, I'm knitting.
