Sweater Evolution
I began knitting another Amiga cardigan in March as part of the Shinybees Rewind KAL .  I have been putting off making this sweater for literally ages and ages. Not because I didn't want another one, but because I just wasn't sure which yarn wanted to be th...

In other news ...
I know that it has been more than a little while since I've posted.  I also know that the posts have been pretty sparse in 2016.  I can't believe how insanely busy I have been during these last few weeks!  I'm not doing for myself, except for getting ready ...

Pay It Forward
It is rare that I take the time on my blog to promote a total stranger's efforts.  I know. That sounds awful, doesn't it? I think it's because this isn't one of those blogs that interviews people and reviews products.  I like to keep it simple around here. ...

Odd Bits
This year has gotten off to an odd start, don't you think?  Our economy is in a tizzy, the weather is nothing if not odd--at least in Georgia it has been--and my knitting has been nothing if not an odd collection of mismatched, random projects. Sales in the...

It's 3 days until Christmas--well, more like 2 and a handful of hours--and some pretty unpleasant gifts have been delivered by probably the Grinch. For me personally, there is the gift of this crazy, awful, haven't-been-this-...

On the Other Side of the Crazy
I've managed to come out on the other side of the back-to-back yarn festivals a little worse for wear.  The first (Spring Fling) was a piece of cake and a fairly short commute--only about 90 minutes each way. The second (the Carolina Fiber Fest) was a gruel...

I'll Tell You What
Man-oh-man this has been a rough start to 2016!  It came in with a vengeance in the illness department, I got a week of "normal", and then I spent, well the last MONTH trying to get over the flu followed by a second round of bronchitis.  Add to that the cra...

An Ear Warmer Thingy
I don't know what you call this thing, but my husband posted this picture to my FB page yesterday and told me to "make some of these". You know, because he's an engineer and not a knitter, it didn't occur to him to share a picture with a link to the pattern...

There are 12 measly little days left until Christmas.  For the first time EVER, I will be finished with all Christmas knitting, not only before Christmas Eve, but a full WEEK BEFORE Christmas Eve. I feel like there is something so very off about that statem...

About Me ...
Introduction
I knit obsessively. I am the current owner of Cedar HIll Farm Company and former owner of Zibeline Knits @ Etsy, I'm a Ravelry (ID zibelineknits), Craftsy (ID zibelineknits), Patternfish, Craftsy, and Knit Picks knitwear designer, I teach knitting classes and I live in a small town in Northeast Georgia. I have three children, a husband, 7 dogs, a parade of cats, 8 chickens, and two rabbits. I knit obsessively, dye gorgeous artisan hand painted yarns, design knitwear, work on our farm (Cedar Hill Farm Company), and spin every now and then. I've been knitting for 30+ years. If I'm breathing, I'm knitting.
