"The U.S. poverty level is at record highs, hitting previous records set 50 years ago during Lyndon Johnson’s administration. The record-breaking rise in poverty has also occurred despite 50 years of the so called “war on poverty,” a shift toward American socialism that was a continuation of the policies launched by Franklin D. Roosevelt’s 'New Deal'."

I was recently asked if I am advocating a revolution and if so, what was my plan. My answer is below.

Yes, of sorts.

If we don't like what government is doing, isn't it partly our fault if we have determined to do nothing about it? Do we dare to think that casting a single vote once every 2-4 years is all that is required of us to ensure liberty for ourselves and the next generation? Shouldn't we aspire to fill our government offices with like minded liberty loving people rather allowing corrupt incumbents to retain their positions?
Come together with our neighbors and choose among us new office holders to support with our voices and our fortunes. Do this at all levels from city counsels to state senates. Do not stop at putting them in office, but hold them accountable for their actions while in office (and that may be done this very moment with the current list of politicians).

Don't just get to know the politicians that are there to represent you, make sure THEY GET TO KNOW YOU!

Don't just complain on social media, GET INVOLVED. Hey, here's a novel idea........maybe run for office yourself. Seriously, would you do a worse job the the one in there now? Maybe..........but maybe not. What would you do differently? Don't start listing all the reasons why you can't, but look for the ways you can and all the reasons why you should.

Yes, a revolution of involvement so our representatives may truly be just that. Representative of not only us, but of all those that gave of their liberty, their fortunes, their families and their very lives to secure and hold up this gift we have received.

This is my plan. What's yours?

Hey! If I claim Bill Cosby assaulted me over 30 years ago, would people talk about me and invite me to be on their talk shows?

Just saying.

I recently realized a little more about how we got here, with the current political climate and the theft of our liberties.

1. Corrupt people gain office and fill their pockets and those of their "friends" with our money. They also fill other offices (appointments) and give them authority over citizens without a single vote (usurping authority not given them by the people).

2. Corruptible people gain office with good intentions, but are then quickly turned by the carrot of ill-gotten personal gains through stealing from our treasury and by being given authorities stolen from the people.

3. Good people gain office, but are eventually turned because their constituents do not uphold and support them. They are not held accountable to follow the rule of law, work to remove corrupt politicians (which is as much their responsibility as it is ours) and actually promote (not control) the welfare of the people.

These people in #3 look to hand the baton to the next citizen in line so he may return to his private life and allow the next person to fulfill their obligation by gaining office and serving for a time. But there is many times no one of good moral strength of character like him to which he may hand it over. So, in order to protect the office from corruption he retains it beyond that period within which he can stand and then becomes like him identified in #2.

So what do we do? What is our plan? We are in only one person. What difference can we make against such a tidal wave of corruption?

Get involved. Don't faint before you even enter the battle. You don't think you have the strength to make a difference? Ok, maybe you don't. But God does and He is anxious to freely give you His strength. Draw close to Him and seek His support to take the position He has for you to make a difference. Seek, act, document results seen and broadcast them. Encourage others, support others and maybe they can make the difference you seek.

Contrary to current public ideology that we have all the power within ourselves, that we are autonomous and gods of ourselves. We need help and support from each other and, dare I say it, from God. The real God, not some fabrication of our own minds.

Stay humble, seek common ideas, build on those. Gain strength from God. Gain it also from friends and neighbors when possible. Stand alone in God's strength if necessary.

If you hold office and temptation is starting to look "not so bad". Get out. Better to leave the office to an opponent for time than to lose your integrity.

Just because lawlessness is running rampant in the halls of government (local all the way up to federal) does not make it right. It does not make it undefeatable and does not mean we are already down for the count.

The fight for independence over 200 years ago occurred because 15% of the population had decided to take action against the oppressive King of England and his minions.

Currently it is thought that there are only about 3% of our current population that is ready and willing to take action against the tide of corruption that is not totally representative of the American People.
Are we (as a people) really this apathetic about our responsibility to earn and protect the liberty that was provided us at such a high cost to our founders and all those who sacrificed in each successive generation since?

Who will stand for truth, honesty, liberty for all and perform the duty required of a free people?

"Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand." Ephesians 6:13-15 King James Version (KJV)

A Pilgrim, hopefully making progress.
Introduction
I have lived from coast to coast to coast and back to coast again. I started out hiding behind my mother's skirt, now I tend to be a bit more bold. I also started out looking anorexic, no one would believe that now. I think, I write and then I think I'm right. I laugh rather loudly, and ready to share my opinion if asked. Enjoy finding people doing something right or well and telling them I noticed it. And last but not least, I love my savior Jesus Christ, my family and my native land of The United States of America.
Bragging rights
(1) The biggest joke in the world is that the Lord Jesus Christ saved me. You can't tell me God doesn't have a huge sense of humor. (2) I was smart enough to marry up, my bride was blinded enough to marry me.
Education
  • I've received an education every where I've worked and lived.
I now study people; which has proven to be the biggest education challenge I've ever undertaken., present

At one time known as "Mud". Was called by my mother with all three names more times than I should have. But the name of which I am most proud is "Grandpa".
