No points for guessing where this famous signpost is!

There are two good reasons to visit McLean falls in the Catlins. These beautiful waterfalls, and the great food in the Whistling Frog!

The Walking Dead Ringers.

We were warned by the car park assistant to keep an eye on the sea when photographing in the Cathedral Caves at the Catlins. We assumed she was talking about rogue waves, so were a little surprised when the walking dead entered the cave. Thankfully they were just tourists!

The magical Nugget Point lighthouse in the mist, with the Nuggets appearing through the mist in the background. The first of twenty new postcard designs we are announcing this month.

The view towards Panekiri Bluff across Lake Waikaremoana. One of my favourite spots in the North Island.

When in the Catlins we rushed to Nugget Point way before for sunrise. Finding a good spot we waited for the light to come. A beautiful clear sky changed in the space of a few seconds to complete fog! As the sun rose we waited with increase frustration for the fog to clear. An hour later we were packing up, heading to the car and grumbling about the lack of success. Thankfully we both turned round before reaching the car and saw this magical scene!

Its stormy weather over most of the North Island today. So to entertain you north islanders whilst you are hunkering down indoors, here's a little challenge for you. Can you name this north island beach?

One of my favourite walks in Rotorua is the short walk from Tarawera Lake to Tarawera falls. With trees and ferns growing around giant boulders that were thrown from the Volcano, you really do feel like you are walking through a prehistoric jungle. The impressive waterfalls at the end of the walk are the icing on the cake.

Introduction
Born in Sussex in the UK Benjamin moved to New Zealand in the early part of 2009.
