Compared with Metro's current promos there's good news and bad news. The good news is that the popular 4 lines of unlimited for $100 offer is not ending. Also, the half off any Android phone and buy one iPhone SE, get a second one free offers appear to be new. The bad news is that the offer that let you port one number, add three lines and get four free iPhone SE's or up to $150 off any other four phones is ending. It's replacement is limited to only two free iPhone SE's.

With pricey phones, no BYOP, no iPhones and higher prices, Spectrum Mobile doesn't seem very competitive compared with Xfinity Mobile. Of course the two MVNOs don't really compete with each other. Spectrum Mobile is only available to Charter cable customers and Xfinity Mobile is only available to Comcast cable users.

For arcane historical reasons, Page Plus has only allowed non-LTE phones to be activated on its PayGo plan. I believe that restriction originally came from Verizon which reportedly charged MVNOs a higher monthly line charge for LTE capable phones. With Verizon planing to shut down its 2G and 3G networks next year Page Plus has finally started to allow LTE phones on PayGo.

Project Fi Pros: Inexpensive international roaming, international direct dialing, no extra charge international texting, low international rates, call forwarding, call records, coverage on three networks including U.S. Cellular plus WiFi calling with seamless handoff from WiFi to cellular.

Project Fi Cons: Limited handset choices. Forwarding to and from Google Voice not supported. Some Google Voice features not supported. Mandatory $20/month for unlimited talk and text whether you need it or not makes it pricy for users who don't need international roaming.
