The Art of Living’s Project Management Unit (PMU) has created a Rural Manager Training Program (RMTP) that trains capable young leaders to be efficient managers who can work with the field teams and drive sustainable and high-impact social change. These motivated and skilled Rural Managers manage and lead one or more projects and act as a bridge between the Project Management Unit and the ground implementation teams led by YLTP trained Yuvacharyas.

In the past we have done multiple campaigns to change opinions regarding sex selective abortions. “Beti Sneh Sanjivini Yatras” (the girl child is the panacea of affection) held all around the country were extremely potent in reaching out and changing mindsets.
We also connected to critical stakeholders like doctors and spiritual leaders. Doctors have a critical role in preventing sex selective abortions. Spiritual leaders have massive following and in this issue were instrumental in changing mindsets.

“Kaushal” literally means skill. In a country with nearly 22 million youth in the age group of 18-30, skill upgradation to ensure employability or livelihood has a critical role to play. In order to address this gap, we started centers all across the country providing relevant training in various disciplines. We currently run 19 such centers across the country where training is provided in various vocations.

The school offers a five year training program that teaches students how to conduct temple rituals: pujas, abhishekas and other rituals. UDAAN- A HOPE FOR SEX WORKERS IN KOLKATA - The women of the red light district are exploited and stigmatized by almost everyone they come in touch with. As a result, initially they were suspicious of our efforts. We approached Durbar Mahila Samanwaya Committee (DMSC) an NGO that has been working with them for the last 15 years and working with them jointly started our interventions. Monthly medical camps organized where check-ups were done and medicines were provided free of cost catering to an average of 60 patients per camp. Benefited approximately 700 people through overall efforts.
