Ahhh! Such an awesome giveaway! I would punch a puppy in the face for the Tarte Off the Cuff palette or the Lorac Pro palette...and I mean, I wouldn't really punch a puppy, but you know what I mean. :)

Does anyone have any really good recs for Southern Gothic books? (No Welty or O'Connor or Faulkner...I'm thinking books that have come out in the past 5 years or so.)

Have you read Rosemary Clement-Moore's Texas Gothic & The Splendor Falls? Sooo good.

The Beautiful Creatures series by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl is also very good -- the books are set in the south and are pretty creepy. Lots of quirky southern characters.

Are those along the lines of what you're thinking?

I'm a Google+ tutorial-reading rock star right now. Another great post for the newbs!

So now that you have activated your precious invite and logged in for the first time, things may seem just a tad… intimidating.

“Huddles? Sparks? Circles? Egads! What sort of devilry is this, and how do I fit it all into my social presence?!”

Hang in there – this tutorial will walk you through everything you need to know to start getting situated with your new online addiction.

Introduction
I write YA. I skip down sidewalks. I can never find my umbrella when it rains. I have an unhealthy addiction to Sour Patch Watermelons. I like my wine red. I love reading stories that make me cry, smile, think. Sometimes the littlest things make me happy. Like tiny fingernails painted pink. A puppy tripping over his own feet. The sun in the sky when the moon is still out. Cars stopping to let a momma duck and her brood cross the street. Flipping the page on my calendar to welcome a new month of possibilities.
