The 19th Annual Exhibition of Art by Michigan Prisoners, sponsored by the Prison Creative Arts Project (PCAP), is now showing in the Duderstadt Center Gallery. The largest prisoner art exhibition in the world, it sheds light on the talents found behind prison walls; with limited resources, artists create works in a rich range of styles, mediums, and themes. Seriously folks… give yourself a break from the rigamarole and see a bunch of artists’ work as they combine forces with a Nobel-Prize winning physicist, one Henry Pollack. He happens to be an amazing photographer as well…….

It’s deep, fun, weird, beautiful, and troubling - dripping ice on drums (8 of 'em!), video made by German artist Marion Traenkle, and electro-acoustic music by Stephen Rush and Michael Gould. The “loop” is 20-minutes long, so you can get the whole thing in 20 minutes and be moved, disturbed, informed, and even blissed out.

Duderstadt Video Studio, Wed/Thurs/Frid noon - 7:30pm
FREE!

There’s a “meet and greet” at 6:00 pm on Wednesday if you want to meet all of the artists and say thanks. Come!
