One of my favorite places in the East Bay. Amazing food, good selection of wine, delicious cocktails, and beautiful garden seating with the occasional outdoor movie night. Always great service, too. Fave dishes: Pappardelle with chicken + pork ragù Summer squash pizza - thin crust House marinated Castelvetrano olives for $5 = a huge bowl... easily feeds 4+ people as a side Dog-friendly in the patio *only* if it's a service dog.

They thought I was a 'Prank Call' and decided to 'Not' serve me. I called back and asked, "how did you figure I was a Prank call because I'm NOT...And 'Sam' the Manager's response was: I'm just making a decision to Not serve you. Horrible Horrible Service. F this place and Any place that doesn't value their customers, either on the phone or in person. Big Middle Finger to this place. Making a decision to Not serve me was the Biggest mistake they could have made. They clearly don't know who I am. Good ridden to Horrible Customer Establishments such as this.

Everything I had here was delicious. Mozzarella with asparagus and prosciutto (creamy, super fresh), rigatoni with chunks of juicy chicken, pizza with sausage and a farm egg (of course). I would also come here just to have their drinks. Their homemade ginger mint soda with some bourbon or gin is delicious.

My favorite pizza, fried chicken and seafood place in the Bay Area! Jerome's fish soup, grilled octopus/squid. They introduced me to sparkling red (prosecco?). Everything is delicious! And years ago, before Ici opened, they were serving that sorbet and a taste of the pixie tangerine sorbet sent me searching for sorbet for weeks! But there is nothing that compared.

Depending on where you sit in the restaurant, the atmosphere lends itself to date night, family time, girls night out, as well as celebrations in the semi-private room for parties of about 20ppl or less. The menu is seasonal and changes daily with almost everything made in house using fresh, local ingredients. Right now shell beans and tomatoes are on the menu and it's so good! Just a suggestion but I would get the housemade bread (Acme on mondays) which has a crunchy outside crust and a soft, doughy center to sop up all that yummy tomatoey goodness at the bottom of your plate. In terms of drinks, the housemade tonic is a must! Bourbon is my preference, but whatever you decide will work too. Also, remember to Leave Room For Dessert! Trust me, you won't be disappointed.

Dinner here on 25 June 2016 was a decidedly unimpressive experience in almost all regards. We (two) arrived without a reservation, left our name, and were asked to return in 15 minutes, which we did. At that point, we were seated immediately - at the same table, within arm's reach of the reservations podium, that had been empty when we first arrived. We ordered a pizza (listed as having rapini and homemade sausage) and polenta with gorgonzola. They were served simultaneously, as we had requested. The polenta was tasty, although lacking any aesthetic with its single piece of gorgonzola chunked into the polenta. The pizza arrived with significant portions of the rim burned to blackness. It was nice to know that it was apparently done in a wood-fired oven, but with the well-recognized health dangers of eating charred food, it hardly seems a wise choice to serve. (We happened to notice that the pizza at our neighbor's table was even worse in this regard, with nearly the entire rim looking like the remnants of a house fire...) The sausage on the pizza was overpoweringly salty. The rapini was cooked to an appropriate level and brought a nice flavor. A big surprise was that there were nearly as many purple onions as there were sausage or rapini. It seemed odd that they should be unlisted on the menu description. Service by our waitress was competent and efficient. The person who brought water, removed dishes, etc., did his job without a single word of announcement or acknowledgment - he just plunked things on the table where he thought they should go, took away items he presumably thought were no longer needed, etc. In brief - there was little that was pleasant and nothing that was beyond expectations, while a fair number of elements failed to meet what we consider reasonable, basic standards. For us, this trip to Pizzaiolo will almost certainly be "one and done).

Their breakfast is amazing, definitely try the granola and the egg sandwich. Dinner is also very good. I had possibly the best pizza I've ever had in my life here

Pizzaiolo hasn't shared anything with you.

People are more likely to share with you if you add them to your circles.
