Visibility matters.  I certainly don't blame anyone for not choosing to be visible...it has great consequences especially if you are not ready...but, for me being out and getting to be in community with other out people has made all the difference in the world!  Cheers to spirit day!  And Katie Barn's piece...enjoy!

If you know me even just a little bit you know that I love learning.  Particularly about myself, I love self reflection and personal inquiry.  Tuti Scott has been developing a Leadership Assessment for over 20 years, just taking the assessment was a great gut check for me and a reminder of who/how I want to be.  I highly recommend taking the assessment and getting familiar with Tuti's message and work.

Great article by Tuti Scott, thanks Tuti!

I'll never forget when the US women’s soccer team won the World Cup.  I was 14 then and every time I watched champship games I got chills.  I would pretend I was in the celebration with the confetti around me and teammate piling on each other.  Seeing women win gave me the model and space image myself doing the same, and sure enough in 2005 at Baylor I did with an incredible team.  Thanks for reminding me of this and the power of these moments.

Tuti Scott, at it again:)
"By the time a girl is 17, she’s seen more than 250,000 TV commercials promoting unrealistic body types. This translates to 53% of 13 year old girls who hate their bodies; jumping to 78% by age 17."...stunning yeah?!?  Time and again research shows physical activity and sports helps be on the winning side of these numbers.
