I initially choose McNeel Eye Center for my children because it was close to our subdivision. When I called, they were very kind and very willing to accommodate my schedule with after school appointments. We've now been going here for three - four years. The staff is friendly and always very nice. I referred a friend to them today and decided to write a short review. Dr. McNeel is also very good with my daughter with autism and we feel we are well taken care of here for our vision needs.

I have been going to McNeel Eye Center for the past 3-4 years. I have tried other 'chain' centers around the Boise area and have not been as satisfied as I am with Dr. McNeel. His knowledge is matched by no other eye doctor I have been to. I am also type 2 diabetic and the conversations we have about my eyes, health and anything else I may have questions on are always well understood and helpful. I would recommend McNeel Eye Center to anyone in the Boise area.

I searched for a good eye doctor in Boise and found McNeel, they had appointment the next day "Which busy ones don't" There is only 1 doctor so that raised a skeptic so they must not be that good. Both my girlfriend and I tried them, the Doctor talked about allot of off topic trying to make short conversations, but really didn't talk about eyes much he talked about the mall and perfume mainly, the customer services was the worst experience ever there's a rude chubby lady up front, but there 2 nice lady's make up for that however they promissed glasses at a certain date, then another date and another date, I will not be going back to McNeel since they don't offer the quality I am looking for, I paid for a contact lens fitting fee but was given the same exact lens to try to see if I liked them, but I told the doctor I wore these lens for over 6 years so active listening would be good on their part, I don't feel that McNeel eyes service deserves a 5 star since they don't provide a 5 star service to be a honest hard working human I will rate their entire service: Customer Service: 1. Management: 4. Doctor: 3. Selection of Frames: 3. Contact Fitting Exam: 2. Eye Education: 2. On time delivery when given a ETA: 1. Overall Rating: 3. I provided a 1 star on Google since all the other people rated 5 (except 1) since that they are 4 1/2 they do not deserve that, this company needs to be a 3 in my mind since they don't offer a 4 or 5 star service. But you don't have to take my word for it. I felt like I wasted money here, I will search for a new eye center when I need a new exam. Thanks.

McNeel Eye Center has been a great experience. Dr. McNeel has bent over backward to make sure all my concerns and questions are properly handled. I've spent a good amount of time in the office with various appointments between getting diagnosed and fitted for gas permeable contact lenses. In that time, I've always found the doctor and staff very pleasant and friendly. I'm not sure why one reviewer would ding them for only having one doctor. In my opinion, the centers with multiple doctors are nothing more than volume cattle calling with little or no relationship between patient and doctor. I believe a one doc practice will spend the time fostering good relationships with the patients, and that has been my experience with McNeel. I'd recommend them to anyone.

Dr. Mcneel took the extra time to explain and answer all our questions about getting glasses for our 8 year old son! Even better, we did not know how our son would respond to getting glasses. It only took 5 days to have the glasses made and mailed to our home. It was a long 5 days for our son who could not wait to wear his new glasses! Dr. Mcneel made him feel real special that he deserved glasses. Great with the kids and the parents. Thanks!

This is a very impressive office. I didn't have to wait long to get in for an appointment and I didn't have to sit and wait forever in the waiting room either. Dr. McNeel was very thorough in my exam and very personable as well. The office staff knew my insurance coverage and was very helpful in explaining the benefits to me so that I understood them as well. I have been very pleased with the quality of frames and lenses that I have purchased from them and their office staff is very knowledgeable about what options are available. This is not one of those "McGlasses" type of places at all. You get good quality stuff from here; not the dime-store leftovers they sell at those other places. The whole experience was very pleasant and I will continue to recommend this office to anyone who needs a new eye doctor.
