There is a generous impulse behind most artists, but that generous impulse is coupled with a desire to bask in social adulation, and attract attention to oneself. Film societies share experiences that they did not themselves create allowing viewers to appreciate artistry without the emotional ...

One of the most beautiful cemeteries in Chicago -- listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Originally founded to provide a burial ground for those whom the local Polish Catholic priest refused to bury, it is the final resting place for people of both Bohemian extraction and Bohemian sensibilities, ethnic bohemians and freethinkers, with funerary art honoring the dead and expressing human grief rather than the flaunted extremist and exclusionary religious sensibilities that one sometimes encounters at other cemeteries. Which is not to suggest that religious burials are unwelcome -- they truly welcome everyone, and provide a place for everyone to rest in peace. A unique burial ground that is great to visit, and the sort of place where one wouldn't mind lingering for years and years and years.
