We decided to try out Gordon Ramsay Steak while vacationing in Vegas because I really like master chef and hell's kitchen. We were very disappointed. When the hostess brought us in, she showed us a neon light on the ceiling that represented Gordon's hand movements when he made the beef wellington. I think that's what she said, it was noisy. Like really? Come on Gordon, this is stupid. Gordon would had been furious to try our food. The noise didn't bother me, but the lighting did. I had to pull a light out of my pocket just to see the menu. My wife and I both got the beef wellington and a shellfish platter that consisted of two large shrimp, a couple crab legs and some oysters for $85. Nothing special at all. One of the dipping sauces consisted of a mint herb that my mother grows in her yard. Not impressed. The beef wellington was very tender. I literally cut it with my fork, BUT, mine tasted like a dirty cow. I think many of you know what I mean. It wasn't cleaned right or something? My wife couldn't finish hers because she thought it was raw. It was too dark to see. I ate it because I wasn't wasting all that money. Her beef wellington didn't have the dirty cow taste that mine did. I did not like the crust. The crust tasted like it was made from a can of grand country biscuits and packed around the beef. It was also soggy and my wife felt hers was under cooked and white. Again, too dark to see. The mashed potato puree reminded me of when I was a child and on welfare when we got the mashed potatoes in a box. Maybe instant? Same thing! Oh, also one of the servers for drinks reached over me and my food to re fill my wife's drink. I do not like someone reaching across or over my plate! I should have tried the steak that a table next to us had, it looked great. Probably way cheaper too. Our bill totaled $260 with tip. We wanted to experience Ramsay's beef wellington and so we did. NEVER AGAIN GORDON! My advise to all the readers. Don't do it unless you are rich and like throwing money away. Gordon should fire this chef and be ashamed! Spend $25-$35 for a great piece of beef from your favorite butcher and cook it yourself. Gordon, I am very disappointed.

Lets just say "NOT IMPRESSED". When I approached the hostess to ask about our reservations she rudely told me she was taking care of the people in line. I just wanted to ask a question. After watching the master chef episode on June 17th 2015 in which three chefs competed in the kitchen of this steak house and one chef was sent home because her steak was not good enough for Mr Ramsay himself, I would of rather eaten her steak. At least it was NOT burned. Yes I could of returned it to the kitchen and asked for another 63.00 New York Strip, but it was not to be. As I was only in Las Vegas for three days I had reserved tickets for a show and did not have time to argue over steak. My husband,my sister and her husbands steaks were all very tough and hard to cut. The steaks reminded me of when I was young and had round steak which are tough and we couldn't afford anything better. I would of preferred to spend our 458.00 american on something better. I cannot believe that Gordon Ramsay would accept any of this comming out of his restaurant.

When you think of Gordon Ramsey you expect a certain element of professionalism, service, and quality of food. In all these things this restaurant fell short. The service was absolutely terrible. Our waiter was rude, unhelpful, and left us sitting at our table for 4 minutes before even taking our drink order. This was one of the most expensive restaurants I have ever eaten at and I can say that it isn't worth it. Terrible service, poor atmosphere, far too loud music, and the food is just "alright". If you're thinking about eating here take my advice and eat somewhere else. Don't waste your money or your time.

Loved my steak here, one of the best i have ever had. It was the Waygu Rib cap. Perfectly cooked, but very pricy. I graded this down one because when they served the water i thought it was on the house and they charged me $9 for water. What a joke!

My family was in Vegas for spring break and decided that we wanted to dine at Gordon Ramsay Steak because we could not experience it at home. The entire experience was amazing. From the appetizers to the main course to the dessert, everything was AWESOME! I didn't order anything that I had never had before because I wanted to be safe. The shrimp cocktail was the best I have had....ever, and I eat shrimp cocktail often. The vegetables were the best and even my 10 year old was amazed about how good they were. An the cheesecake was to die for. It was so smooth and moist and the taste was great. Of the money that I spent in Vegas, this was by far the best money spent. We will visit again when we are in Vegas.

On a recent trip to Las Vegas I was excited to try out Gordon Ramsay's Steak restaurant, but I was left with a bad taste in my mouth. As a former Chef with culinary training (not just a title) my expectations of mid to somewhat high priced restaurant are somewhat high. However there are basics with every restaurant that are absolutes in my book. Hot food should be hot, cold food cold and proteins adequately seasoned and cooked according to request. I ordered Gordon's signature Beef Wellington. I even joked with the server that this dish was going up against my British Nan's. He assured me that my Nan may learn a thing or two from them at Steak. I had a good giggle and was very optimistic. I started out with an onion soup of sorts and the flavour was brilliant but the texture was odd. Its hard to explain but its the best choice for a description. The bread selection that served was delightful and not something I will soon forget. As for the Beef Wellington....it took 45 minutes to prepare which is noted upon ordering and absolutely reasonable if done properly. Mine arrived on a cool plate and the Beef Wellington itself was cooked properly to medium rare but it was cool, as was the potato purée. I had also ordered a side of asparagus which were also tepid and had the impression of being in close proximity to a warmer. They certainly did not appear fresh from a pan. I brought this to the attention of the service staff who apologized and offered to have the dish remade but with a 45 minute preparation time I was certain to miss the curtain call for the show I was going to that evening. I was given fresh asparagus which were wonderful (which should have come out the first time). Regretfully I was resigned to a poorly executed Beef Wellington. I only managed to have a few bites and then politely asked the service staff to take it away as it was not a pleasant experience. I also ordered a cider and was offered water during my visit. I decided to skip desert as I had enough disappointment for one evening. Mind you when I received the bill I was in for quite the shock. For one person it was over $100 USD, and $8 for the water. If I would have been informed on the cost of water I may have simply skipped it. That is a bit much in my estimation. There was no accounting for the food which was sent back and no follow-up from a manager. A bit disappointing and unprofessional in my humble estimation. Overall I would suggest others try a different restaurant if they are looking for great food with the celeb chef experience. I am heading back to Las Vegas this weekend and am inclined to try Tom Colicchio's Craftsteak at the MGM

We went to Las Vegas for our 30th anniversay trip. Like many, huge fans of GR and decided, we are definitely going to GR Steak for our special dinner. We had to wait in the lounge for 15 minutes before our drink order was taken and soon after were seated at our table. We found everyone from start to finish to be friendly and courteous, knowledgeable and professional. Our waiter was excellent, attentive and kind. Yes, the music could have been a little quieter, but most restaurants have loud music. We did have a difficult time understanding the waiter, esp when he was explaining all the beef cuts from the display, well actually, the entire evg was hard to hear. I had the Beef Wellington and it was excellent!! Perfectly seasoned and VERY tasty. I chose the Mac & Cheese as my side.....best ever! Whatever does he put in there?? Soooo good. My hb had Kobe Eye steak, medium rare. One of the best steaks he's had - seared and cooked to perfection, seasoned beautifully and taste......delicious!!! The loaded baked potatoe is HUGE! Cost $12, but it's very big. I didn't order an appetizer because I wanted dessert - had the Peanut Butter bar - it was good, but a bit heavy for me. We shared it so half was just perfect. The French Press coffee is enough for 2, but they only bring one cup. We shared that of course too! They do bring 3 ABC chocolate dipped spoons, flavoured with A (Amaretto) B (Bailey's) and C (???forget) to melt in your coffee, complimentary! Was it expensive? Yes, but we knew that going in and simply enjoyed the experience. Afterall, food is all about the experience now, isn't it??

We ate here just a couple of nights ago while visiting Vegas for our anniversary and her birthday. I spent some time reading some of the reviews and am actually a little shocked at the lack of good reviews and people's experiences. It appears the restaurant has taken a little bit of a step back in the past year as this is where most of the poor reviews have been coming in. We made reservations only about 3 weeks in advance and had no issues. We arrived about 5 minutes after our scheduled reservation and were taken right back to our seat. The seating arrangement was a little disappointing as we did face the corner where the kitchen staff go in and out and we could see the chefs slaving away. We were by ourselves, but ordered two appetizers, two entrees, two sides and dessert. For our appetizers we got a lobster dish and the pork belly. I saw another review that said it was undercooked. For me, I preferred it slightly that way, but it was perfectly cooked and the flavor was excellent. We both loved the lobster as well, although it was a rather small tail, maybe four bites worth in all. Main entrees were also very good. I got an American filet and she got the Beef Wellington. For it being a signature dish the BW left a little something to be desired, but my American Filet was the best steak i've ever had. I am often frustrated at restaurants when I order my steak medium or medium rare and the steak is overcooked and brought to you medium well or well done. My steak was cooked perfectly medium and the flavors and seasonings were spot on. Enough to flavor the meat without overpowering the meat itself. Both dishes were tender and melt-in-your-mouth. Perhaps the best part of the meal was the sticky cake and brown butter ice cream. It was a playful dish where the ice cream came in the shape of a stick of butter. It was the perfect ending to a great meal. Our server John and his assistant Mike were fantastic. We never had to wait to receive our next course, never had an empty glass, and they visited our table often enough we knew they were attentive, but never so often as to be an annoyance. The only thing we were a little bummed about was not meeting Gordan as we heard from Mike that he was in the restaurant greeting guests briefly only the night before.
