Path Press is a non-profit entity, which handles legal matters and holds the copyrights of all Ven. Ñāṇavīra Thera’s writings together with writings of Ven. Bodhesako and Sister Vajirā. It was founded in Sri Lanka in 1987 by Ven. Bodhesako. It is an entity with a small group of 4 bhikkhus and 5 layman (upāsakas) who are aspiring to make the late Ven. Ñāṇavīra Thera’s teachings more available for those who are interested.

Bundala: place of a great monk, Ven. Nyanavira. In this kuti he lived for 10 years and there he also died.
The Island Hermitage: place established on 1911, by German monk, Ven Nyanatiloka. On the island were living also other well-known monks such as Ven. Nyanaponika, Ven. Nyanamoli, Ven. Nyanavira, Ven. Nyanadipa, Ven. Nyanavimala, etc. etc. More on http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Island_Hermitage

This simple marginal note in pencil is from Ven. Nanavira written on one of Sister Vajira's letters. It is rare today to find original handwritings by the Venerable.

We regret to inform that our friend and member of Path Press, Dr John Stella, passed away on 28th November 2014 in Detroit USA, after suffering a massive stroke.
