The trip has come to its end. These are the pictures of Spain before the sun rise. I, Emelie, took one of the view from our room, a close up on the car damage and spent most of the 45 minutes drive to the airport trying to catch a decent picture of the so famously called "Spansk sväng" it did not turn out too well. It felt more like I tried to catch ghosts but at least one got caught!

Now we are back in our own apartment having to adjust to the freezing cold. Damn it, it's cold!!!

Friday and our last full day in Nerja. We spent it driving to the aqueduct we had passed on our way to the cave the other day. Did some Lara Croft cosplay and had more Tapas in town. Small food is nice when the warmth is damaging your appetite. On an other note we scrapped the rental car! So that was a little bump in our "road" today. And we were like less than 24 hours away from returning it. Talk about bad luck. Oh well stuff happens. Our last evening we turned to a close by restaurant and ordered Paella marina. What we got did not please Adam but he managed to eat it anyway.

Spent, what felt like, the hottest time off day in Nerja. We had some food and were awestruck by the "Balcony of Europa" Emelie found a canon she called dibs on while Adam found some cute cats chilling in the neighborhood.

Oliva, Nejras best restaurant (according to random page on internet but we don't have anything else too go on) The food and drinks were delicious. Adam had duck and Emelie falafel (of course)

To celebrate Emelie's birthday we walked through the cave of Nejra. A natural cave system where people lived during Mesolithic times. Sadly those parts of the cave were not open to the public. The cave has a micro bacteria that reacts to light making the illuminated parts turn green. That is another reason for why they can't illuminate the rock paintings in the deeper part of the cave.

The evening sets over Nerja and we take the opportunity to dine at the second best restaurant in the area. Emelie was so full that she could not have dessert :-(
Good night!

Emelie found an old wall that had been saved inside the underground parking house where we stashed our car during the day.

The Castle Alcazaba and the reason my step counter took me well over ten thousand steps today. Bless the soul that placed a water dispenser inside.
