No, CPA Australia, no. You don't get to use Martin Luther King, Jr. to advertise your product. Tacky, tasteless, no.

Goog! Don't be assholes! Leave that to ASCAP.
Update, Jan. 29, 2:58pm: YouTube reached out to Billboard to clarify some of Keating's statements in this interview. You can read that here.

For my mother Gilly (Helen Floy Glenn Burlingham, that is)'s birthday, I have been trying to list one book for each year of her life, books that she exposed me to. Didn't quite do it, and since I added some tv and other things, we'll call it works", but her...

The Strange Necessity
On my rounds checking that the house is secure and being appropriately heated, I checked my mother's vacant room. I decided to try to set to rights the two layers of books leaning in opposite directions atop one bookcase (a task that required, as it turned ...

One way to increase your community connection would be to make better connection to the existing retail district, rather than expanding sprawl. Mountain View has a great downtown - how do you help Googlers interact with it?

Sideburns? We got 'em. Fashionable coifs? Yes, indeed. Striped slacks with slash pockets? Oh yes, brothers and sisters!

It is the Seventies indeed.

Handy, quiet. Could be cleaner, but I've seen dirtier laundromats. Easy to get supplies from the dollar store next door or across the street at the Morse grocery, or from the machines here. And they have wi-fi!

I ordered a bit too much, but I was able to stay and savor it, having arrived late on a Saturday night. People came and went, some quiet, some boisterous. The friendly staff accommodated us all. Sometimes the chef danced to the post-disco mix. All in all, a good experience.

I narrowly escaped a local OB/GYN who kept telling me, against all my reading and without any evidence to back his assertions, that I would more than likely need a C section, and was referred to the Strong Midwifery Group. Even though I came to them late in my pregnancy, they made sure I met all seven midwives at my appointments, so that I would not meet any of them for the first time at delivery. They are an excellent, women-centered practice, very pro-mother, baby, breast-feeding, and family. Although I was not able to have my delivery be completely natural, as I'd wanted, the intervention was minimal and I agreed to what did happen. The birth was what it was, pretty much according to plan. Their care was excellent, and our midwife wrote us a sweet, sweet letter afterwards. Come to think of it, I should go see them for a check-up. I recommend this practice, especially for anyone who does not want the natural process of childbirth medicalised.

Basic but decent. I often park my car here when departing. Free parking, but bring food and something to read.

Eclectic, interesting gifts for adults and kids. Good quality items, well chosen, and often either fair trade or American made. A lovely store I enjoy referring people to.
