Remember this is in regard to the over 50k Garrands that S Korea wants to sell to citizens of the USA. Korea doesn't need them anymore but they recognize many here would love to own one. The state dept was blocking the re-importation, now the Pres is strengthening the block.
Fellow Californians - we either all need to get extremely active in our state political process immediately, or sack up your guns to turn them over. They want to: ban the Mini-14, M1A, M1-Carbine, and all bullet button rifles; prohibit possession of magazines larger than 10 rounds (NO grandfathering); require ammo permits; license all gun owners (making us register like sex offenders) and it just goes on and on. They may try to ram this through in a few days like New York did, so we have to call, email, and send donations to our supporters NOW. It's February 9 today; imagine if on May 9 we all have to be in line to turn in our magazines, apply for our ammo permit, and register ourselves like a child molester.
I ordered a case of 7.62x39 ammo from Sportsman's Guide a couple of weeks ago. It was backordered into January. Just got an email from them saying the expected ship date was September!! and asking if I wanted to keep the backorder open. I said yes as the price was good and they will probably have it in a month or two in reality. But September......
Hello, I love most everything about guns and shooting. My kids have grown up shooting, and we spend time both at the range and hunting. I reload, mainly so I don't go broke when my boys decide to go through 50 center-fire rounds each in an afternoon! My main interest is rifles, and primarily military surplus and .22s. I love .22 rifles..... Dave
More Guns Equal Less Crime - here is a link to a Harvard Law Review scholarly article that looks at various countries and their gun laws and rates of violent crime. The conclusion - fewer guns often leads to much higher crime rates and more guns result in less crime. Feel free to refer to this in your discussions / arguments with the gun grabbing crowd, who apparently want to see violent crime rise in the United States.
I've only read the first few pages but book marked it...It's only a comprehensive look at murders, suicides, and violent crime stats...and truthfully comparing them on geographic equivalents that one (including Piers Morgan, Fienstine, Barack & co) should consider attempting to address the gun rights issue.
