Silicon Valley.   It's like the real world, only full of shallow, vain people like this chucklehead, Paul Graham.

Fellow Californians - we either all need to get extremely active in our state political process immediately, or sack up your guns to turn them over.  They want to:  ban the Mini-14, M1A, M1-Carbine, and all bullet button rifles;  prohibit possession of magazines larger than 10 rounds (NO grandfathering); require ammo permits; license all gun owners (making us register like sex offenders) and it just goes on and on.  They may try to ram this through in a few days like New York did, so we have to call, email, and send donations to our supporters NOW.  It's February 9 today;  imagine if on May 9 we all have to be in line to turn in our magazines, apply for our ammo permit, and register ourselves like a child molester.
Last week, anti-gun Assembly Democrats announced their plans to eliminate the right of law-abiding citizens to exercise their Second Amendment rights. Yesterday, anti-gun Senate Democrats did the sam...

I ordered a case of 7.62x39 ammo from Sportsman's Guide a couple of weeks ago.  It was backordered into January.  Just got an email from them saying the expected ship date was September!! and asking if I wanted to keep the backorder open.  I said yes as the price was good and they will probably have it in a month or two in reality.  But September......

Hello,  I love most everything about guns and shooting.  My kids have grown up shooting, and we spend time both at the range and hunting.  I reload, mainly so I don't go broke when my boys decide to go through 50 center-fire rounds each in an afternoon!  My main interest is rifles, and primarily military surplus and .22s.  I love .22 rifles.....  Dave

Lol. Yep, it's just the cheap stuff. Which is fine with me, because it's just to waste at the range so I am not buying so much .223.

Goodbye Garands and M1Carbines.  Obama has, with the stroke of his pen, banned the re-importation of OUR taxpayer-funded historical firearms, which are virtually never used in criminal activity.  http://bigstory.ap.org/article/ap-exclusive-obama-offers-new-gun-control-steps

Remember this is in regard to the over 50k Garrands that S Korea wants to sell to citizens of the USA. Korea doesn't need them anymore but they recognize many here would love to own one. The state dept was blocking the re-importation, now the Pres is strengthening the block.

A good, but disturbing read on some of the causes behind our exorbitantly expensive health care system in the U.S.

The "entitlements" that really need reform are those given to the Wall Street investment banks and oil companies.

What hand outs are oil companies and Wall Street getting?  You need some facts here or your argument is just so much blather.

So, let us try again, what government hand outs are the oil companies and Wall Street getting and please identify the line item this appears in the budget.

More Guns Equal Less Crime - here is a link to a Harvard Law Review scholarly article that looks at various countries and their gun laws and rates of violent crime.  The conclusion - fewer guns often leads to much higher crime rates and more guns result in less crime.  Feel free to refer to this in your discussions / arguments with the gun grabbing crowd, who apparently want to see violent crime rise in the United States.

I've only read the first few pages but book marked it...It's only a comprehensive look at murders, suicides, and violent crime stats...and truthfully comparing them on geographic equivalents that one (including Piers Morgan, Fienstine, Barack & co) should consider attempting to address the gun rights issue.

I've been getting pizzas here since they opened a year or so ago, and it has been steadily going downhill. Tonight I ordered a 16 inch Margherita. First, they took it out, put it in a box, and placed it on top of the oven even though I was sitting there waiting. After a few minutes they asked me what I ordered and realized that was mine, even though I was the only person sitting there waiting. Then I opened it to check and it was burned/seriously overcooked. I brought it back in and showed it to the people, and was told that that was how they cooked their pizzas. I pointed out that there were several other pizzas out and none of them looked anything like mine. The guy said he would make me another one and undercook it for me. I was actually looking for one properly cooked, but I guess my choices were undercooked or burned, so I just took the one I had home. At home, my wife and kids discovered why it was burned - there was a layer of sauce about 1 molecule thick on the pizza and a few slices of cheese spread out over some of it, really lacking in any sort of topping which likely would have prevented the dough from burning. Essentially I paid $21 for just a piece of burned dough. They obviously need some management on-site.
