Menu

An Irish local pub in the heart of Leslieville, serving a wide range of Irish & Canadian premium craft beers, whiskies & spirits, fresh oysters, and quality homemade food. Céilí (pronounced Kay-lee) is an Irish word for a social get-together of music, song and dance. With that come the food and drink. Our “Irish Local” is a place for friends and families in the neighborhood to convene for conversation and good “craic” (Irish for good fun).

Food was great. never have I encountered worse service during the past 2 decades eating out... our waitress was rude and unprofessional, we tried getting her attention via eye contact/waving, (like a casual wave at a friend) and she actually shouted at us and called us rude..woah we know you are busy but lady you need to learn customer service!

Nice comfy inside decor. Had the Irish breakfast on the outside patio. Food was only okay and they had quite the problem with wasps everywhere, which really detracted from enjoying just about anything.

This place is a cozy, little Irish gastropub, and perhaps could have been enjoyable for me, had the Irish woman working there not insulted me for being American. Somehow in conversation I mentioned being from the US to this aforementioned Irish waitress, and out came some anti-American comment, and not exactly in a joking sort of tone. Perhaps she was joking, but it's probably good practice to not insult your customers, because of where they're from. Would you insult someone from China or India or Nigeria (or anywhere) in the same way? Unlikely. If you go here, and you're an American like me, and you see an Irish woman maybe in her forties or fifties, I'd highly recommend not engaging in discussion with her. If you do, at least don't reveal your nationality!

Has been a great place but, today Sunday, there is only two servers on. One has to shuck the oysters. Waited 20 to have food order taken and then told 5 minutes later that dozen oysters we ordered would take 20+ minutes more. Not the standard I have come to expect!

I didn't know what to expect walking through a dome like building. It felt like a secret place and we turned the corner and there I was in a random cottage. It was an underground, rustic, cozy feeling. The mood was perfect for our anniversary. We would go back for sure. Authentic cuisine is so romantic.
