Amanda Augustine is the Job Search Expert for TheLadders, the online job-matching service for career-driven professionals. She joined the company in 2004 as one of its original 20 employees, and is based in the New York headquarters. In addition to being a brand ambassador and spokesperson, she also pens a weekly career advice column, Ask Amanda, which is shared with over 6 million job seekers every Wednesday. Her job-search tips and career advice have been featured in various media, including TODAY with Kathie Lee & Hoda, Forbes, MarketWatch, FOXBusiness.com, MSN, Huffington Post, WomansDay.com and CBS New York.
For over nine years, Amanda’s innate desire to educate and prepare professionals for the job search has inspired her to establish TheLadders’ best practices, which are used to influence the company’s product design and career services. In her ongoing efforts, she has devoted almost three years to testing various job-search techniques for providing unique insights to millions of job-seeking men and women.
Amanda is a highly sought-after speaker and a member of various professional associations, including the National Association for Female Executives (NAFE), National Association of Professional Women (NAPW), Step Up Women’s Network (SUWN), National Career Development Association (NCDA), and the Career Thought Leaders Consortium (CTL). Additionally, Amanda actively volunteers for StreetWise Partners, a nonprofit organization that provides effective, free job-training programs for highly motivated people who face multiple barriers to employment.
Amanda holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Marist College and is a Certified Professional Career Coach (CPCC) and a Certified Professional Resume Writer (CPRW).
