Friends! Please help with my research and/or reshare this with your own friends! I really need participants, and the gift card is pretty nice!

Do you share things with friends on Facebook? Have you had the same Android smartphone for the last 6 months?

We’re researchers at Carnegie Mellon University conducting a study to understand how you think about the people in your personal social network. We’ll ask you to provide some information about how you communicate with the people you know (don’t worry, this process is strictly confidential). The study will take place online, and you may complete the study online at your convenience over the course of a week. We will ask you questions about the people in your personal social network. Participants must be between the ages of 20 and 60, and if you are selected to participate in the study, you will be compensated for your time. To find out if you qualify, go to https://edu.surveygizmo.com/s3/731439/cmu-social-graph

So, from now on, all of my research will be conducted by acting out improv descriptions of my hypotheses in front of a set of reviewers (who will, of course, be sitting)
A new study has shown that sitting for long periods of time is quite detrimental to our health, and can take years off our life:

"What's particularly interesting about recent research is the revelation that sitting for extended periods of time does significant damage to human health that cannot be undone by exercising. Sitting for several hours each day is bad for you, like smoking is bad for you, regardless of whether you do healthful activities, too."
