"Karen Knorr is an American photographer living in London who was born in Germany, grew up in Puerto Rico and went to art school in Paris and London.
Ms. Knorr’s most recent interest is India, and she has spent the last few years photographing the lavish and intricate interiors of palaces in Rajasthan. She has digitally fused these images with those of tigers, elephants, monkeys, peacocks and other exotic animals. Some of these portraits are based on Islamic fables, but there are other stories embedded within them, as the images pose questions about colonialism, exoticism, gender, religion, politics and more. Yet they pack such a sensual wallop, with their saturated colors and intricate, sumptuous detail, that it’s hard to think about all that. For this series, called “India Song,” Ms. Knorr has been nominated for the prestigious Deutsche Börse Photography Prize..." { via }

No one is born with hatred or intolerance.
The truth of a poem:

e r r o r:
"Written by an African Kid
Nominated by UN as the best Poem of 2006"
When I born, I black.
When I grow up, I black.
When I go in sun, I black.
When I cold, I black.
When I scared, I black.
When I sick, I black.
And when I die, I still black.

And you white fellow

When you born, you pink.
When you grow up, you white.
When you go in sun, you red.
When you cold, you blue.
When you scared, you yellow.
When you sick, you green.
And when you die, you gray.
And you calling me C O L O R E D ??

Poème à mon frère blanc { by Léopold-Sédar Senghor }

Quand tu as grandi, tu étais blanc,
Quand tu vas au soleil, tu es rouge,
Quand tu as froid, tu es bleu,
Quand tu as peur, tu es vert,
Quand tu es malade, tu es jaune,
Quand tu mourras, tu seras gris.

Alors, de nous deux,
Qui est l’homme de couleur ?

Translated into Vietnamese by Than Trong Son:
Thơ gởi người anh em da trắng.

Hỡi người anh em da trắng,

Khi sinh ra, tôi đen,
Khi lớn lên, tôi đen,
Khi ra nắng, tôi đen,
Khi đau ốm, tôi đen,
Và khi chết, tôi sẽ đen.

Còn anh, người da trắng,

Khi sinh ra, anh hồng
Khi lớn lên, anh trắng,
Khi ra nắng, anh đỏ,
Khi thấm lạnh, anh xanh.
Khi lo sợ, anh tái,
Khi đau ốm, anh vàng
Và khi chết, anh xám.
Vậy thì, trong hai chúng ta,
Ai mới là người DA MÀU ??
