Users have told us that it would be nice to generate new estimates/invoices from an existing one. We are very excited to announce our smart cloning feature. Now you can use any existing estimate or invoice as a template. Yardbook will help you generate a new estimate/invoice for a different customer, and automatically adjust price(s), tax(es) and discount(s) based on that customer.

Since many landscapers offer snow removal services during the cold season, Yardbook has created a set of workflows optimized for these types of jobs. They will help you with scheduling, tracking and billing. The goal is to minimize the amount of work it takes to create jobs, track them, and finally convert them into invoices.

Time Clock and Timesheets

The ability to track employee hours has been a very popular request from Yardbook Users. Today, we're extremely excited to launch our latest feature: a Time Clock and a set of tools to manage timesheets.

With Timesheet Tracking, you can set up Yardbook’s Time Clock to have Employees clock in and clock out, or ask them to manually create timesheets. You can also grant access to crew leaders to manage timesheets of other Employees.

Access Controls

Providing limited access for Employees is a popular request from Yardbook users. We are very excited to announce our latest feature: Access Controls. With this feature, Admins can grant their Employees the ability to view certain pages within Yardbook, without giving them full control over the program.

In this initial version, Admins can grant limited access to the Jobs page, from which Employees can see the job list; giving them the ability to mark jobs done and add notes/attachments to different jobs from the field. This saves time by letting employees log into Yardbook directly in real-time and freeing the admin from having to email or print the daily job list for their Employees.

In the future, Yardbook will also introduce a time clock feature so Employees can clock in and clock out directly from the application.

This week, we are adding another enhancement based on the feedback of our users. Users have informed us that they’d like to define price per cut for their customers. For example, $45/cut for Jason, $25/cut for Alex.

You can set up your price per cut directly in your customers view, within the properties list. For each property, you can set up a different cut price. Once this is done, each time you add a line item to an estimate or invoice for that customer, the per cut prices will be displayed in the product catalog.

You can also create jobs with “Grass Cutting” as a service. When the job is converted into an invoice, Yardbook will automatically set the price per cut for you.

Please try it out and let us know what you think.

You can now add one or more vehicle(s) and log miles driven for each of them. At the end of the year, simply export all the mileage readings in an excel file and use it for tax filings.
