Thankfully I don't read this paper! I called to see about birth anoucements they transferred me a total of 5 times and then just hung up before I could even talk to anyone. Unprofessional

Ceairah - I'm very disappointed to hear you had a tough time getting in touch with the right person. I'd like to apologize and offer some assistance. For birth announcements the folks to speak with would be our newsroom. They can be reached by calling (812) 379-5633 or by email at

Really unprofessional to write up a story that glorifies the rich 3rd place winners in an elementary cheer competition and barely mentions the champions. Front page news. I'm disgusted every time I look at it. What editor would allow that to be done to a bunch of 11 and 12 year olds?

A great weekly paper printed daily. The reporters couldn't investigate a ham sandwich. There is so much wrong with BSCS, yet they act like an ostrich and bury the head. They do a good job on the obits however.

Subscribed to it for the local news. I heard the paper was bought out recently. They promptly jacked up the subscription rates from 172 a year to 199 per year. Good riddance.

They do hardly any original reporting. Hell you could list The Associated Press as their lead columnist.
