Hey everyone, come out and join us tomorrow at Santa Teresa Park.  We're having Summit Bicycles of Los Gatos bring out their demo fleet of Trek and Santa Cruz mountain bikes for everyone to try out.  We'll be there from 9am-2pm.

Sorry we've been gone for so long.  It's been a while since San Jose Mtb has been up on G+ but we're back and we'll be bringing you plenty of great content and deals from our great sponsors.

Hey everyone, Dave from San Jose Mountain Biking here... I just wanted to let you all know about the group buy we're working on with Summit Bicycles out of Los Gatos. We're doing a combo buy with 5.10 shoes and pedals. There are options for almost both flat and spd riders and many different models to choose from.

http://www.meetup.com/sanjosemountainbiking/events/119122182/

you can find more info and sign up for the buy on our meetup page linked above.
Alright folks the KS Lev group buy is loosing traction quite fast.  It seemed like we had some legit interest at first but not quite enough to actually get a deeper discount.  I did find out that without a group buy we save about $60 just with our discount alone.  That made the post 336 and change.  I know you can find better deals out there if you scour the internet, but why not support a local shop that supports local riders.  Besides the cheap...

Where's this? Down the trail from the upper parking lot that will end up at the bottom of the valley, followed by a climb to the back of Stiles?

SJMTB is the best mountain biking group in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Introduction

Welcome to San Jose Mountain Biking Meetup group located in San Jose, California.

The SJMTB Organizers are experienced trail riders who will post fun and challenging rides on a consistent basis.  We're also a super community of participants built up from a wide range of personalities
and backgrounds sharing a common interest and enthusiasm for mountain biking.

Our rides range from after-work workouts to the epic weekend romps at all the wonderful parks available to us.  You can expect rides everywhere from the Central Coast (Ft. Ord) to Marin County and everywhere in between.  A large number of our rides will be based in the South as well as East Bay.  Along with riding in all the local spots available to us we'll be venturing out to more far off locations for weekend long ride trips.

All our rides will be no-drop (nobody gets left behind) and all skill levels are welcome.  We utilize a rating system for each ride posted (popular with serious bikers) to help guide your decision to join a ride or wait. The formula is:  Pace(A being the slowest)/Technical difficulty(1-10)/Physical difficulty(1-10)/milage/elevation gain.

An expanded definition of the rating system, along with other valuable information, such as novice and beginner Basic guidelines and Organizer bios, can be found in the Discussion pages.  Your ideas and suggestions are also very much welcomed.

To join this group, you'll need to join MeetUp. Please be sure that you are fully aware of the MeetUp terms of service ( http://www.meetup.com/terms/), especially sections 3.1 (Your Information), 4.2 (Grounds for Removal), 5.2 (Release), 6.3 (Role of the Meetup Group Organizer), and 10 (Indemnity). Your request to join the group signifies that you have read the liability policy on the About page and agree to all its clauses.  In a word, all participants ride at their own risk without recourse.

Join us by posting a profile pic and positively answering our simple questions, then get your bike ready and come on out.  Hope to see you riding the trails with us soon!
