This is upscale Chinese food. It isn't dark, greasy and with MSG like most Chinese food is. But I kind of like that. The service was excellent, but the prices were a little high.

Reminded me of the 2 or 3 good meals I had in China over the 7 years I traveled there, and I avoided going there, a real plus. Peking Duck and short ribs were simply brilliant.

On a snowy Sunday night there was more of a crowd than I would expect. Somehow our reservations got confused however we were promptly seated and quickly served hot food. We started with honey ribs, dumplings in spicy sauce and pan fried dumplings. We moved on to peacocks fan (fried shrimp), celestial chicken and beef with broccoli. All were fantastic as was the service.

In a word, salty. The waiters are humorous and professional, the place hasn't changed character in the 30 years I've known it, and the flavors are all very authentic, but every dish seems to be loaded with salt - and quite possibly MSG as well. It's the highest quality Chinese food you'll find, but I would unfortunately have to recommend against it.
