Future Friday

Are you ok? I know it's been a rough week, but you look like Han Solo when he was frozen in Carbonite! Just calm down and relax. Let the force of the weekend flow through you! Maybe you should go see a movie. We have no idea which one though... Speaking of Star Wars, take a look at this desk. If nothing else, you can always look down and realize He's got it worse than you. See you Monday!

Tips and Things Thursdays!

Did you know that most of us have at least one wall in our home that is little more than mud and glue? Ok, sure… Maybe that mud has been formed into a brick or stone, and ok… maybe that glue is Mortar, but that doesn’t change the facts. There is mud on your wall and you will NEVER get it off. Since it is going to be there a while, you might as well learn how to properly take care of it! Build Direct has you covered.

Tips and Things Thursdays!
Last Thursday, we discussed how to care for a hard wood floor. However, the majority of homes in Texas and Oklahoma have carpets. The prevailing theory for this is that we love rubbing our feet against it and shocking unsuspecting house mates. Of course, in order for this to work, the carpet cannot be covered in dirt and food. Take a look at this article form HouseBeautiful .com for tips on keeping your carpet clean and charged. Now, if you will excuse me, my boss has his back to me and I am wearing my woolly socks…

We made it to another friday! Wait, what? What do you mean it’s thanksgiving week and you have been off for the past two days? I thought we were a team! I thought we made it through the work week together! And now I find that I stuck here writing facebook posts while you are snuggled up under a blanket at home watching Netflix? Well, I never… No christmas cards for you pal! Ok ok, you’ll get a christmas card, but it will be a cheap one! Ok… It won’t be cheap, but I’m mailing it a day late! I’m sorry, I’ve just had a lot of turkey. It does things to you. So! Do you have a coffee table? Ever wish it did more than just hold your drink and magazines? Well take a look at this bad boy!

How many of you have hard wood floors? Put your hands down! This is the internet, remember? Seriously… your co-workers are starting to wonder about you. In any case, it is surprising how many of us have hard wood floors, but don’t take care of them properly. Over the years, these floors have had all kinds of food, drinks, and stains thrown upon them. And yes, siccing Fido on them helps, but it is only a temporary solution. Lucky for us, we have Wiki How to shine a blinding light on our lack of knowledge!

Wisdom Wednesday!

Hope chest

A Hope Chest, also called a dowry chest, cedar chest or glory box, Is a small chest used to store clothing. Up until the 1950’s, it was a tradition for women preparing for marriage to start collecting clothing and outfits for her wedding, or a Trousseau. It was a form of dowry and a Hope Chest was a typical gift to give a woman approaching marriageable age. Now a days, it’s just a really fancy place to stock munchies for when you Netflix and Chill. Progress is a beautiful thing.
