Share the enjoyment of viewing Martha Thornburgh's images of daffodil fields at sunset. Over the years, Martha has shown us these images of loveliness and and grandeur. A retrospective is surely in her future.

How to Set Auto-Expiration Date for Shared Folders & Files in Google Drive

When you share any folder or file in Google Drive with someone, the shared links will work forever until you manually change the sharing permissions.

What if you want to share a folder in your Google Drive for exactly 24 hours and automatically make the folder private after that period?
Or share a Google Docs spreadsheet for a week and then remove access to other users?

I do this. It's been very helpful. I use Google Docs and Evernote.

We should make the update.
Make sure Google Drive on your Mac or PC is up to date!

Google Drive for Mac/PC sync client versions 1.22 or older will not be supported after July 1st. Going forward support will be discontinued for versions more than a year old.

OS X and Windows users may check what version of the sync client they are using by clicking on the Drive for Mac/PC menu (which appear as three dots) and then clicking About. The dialog that appears will include the version number on it. Users still on versions 1.22 and lower after July 1, 2016 will no longer be able to sync files between Google Drive and local storage using Google Drive for Mac/PC.

I note on my Mac, the sync client appears up to date, and as I don't recall manually updating, I expect that means under usual circumstances it updates automatically.

Library Wars
I don't know about you, but library wars seem like a far more civilized approach to war than using conventional weapons
