The most interesting man in the world doesn't play a red shirt in Star Trek often. But when he does, he survives the entire episode.

h/t to John Wilkinson of EA for pointing this out.

Happy Birthday, Google News! Today, Google News turns 10! Born of the brilliant and fertile mind of +Krishna Bharat and nurtured by the savvy engineering leadership of +Andre Rohe, it now serves a billion individuals each week, presenting those readers with the capable work of thousands of journalists and news sites from around the world. Seventy-two countries. Forty-five languages. It's such a privilege to work with this team.

Last night we celebrated with several hundred journalists visiting San Francisco for the Online News Association conference. I could not imagine a more rewarding milieu than to toast our anniversary with those so passionately dedicated to inventing the future of news. Thank you for being there. Thank you for doing what you do.
