A bit of a flashback for today, in commemoration of the recent passing of Sir Christopher  Lee, we present the House of Hammer Horror, a rather unique home display that showcases Hammer Films - the setup changes every year and features numerous scenes from various Hammer films. Well worth a look!

Less than six months until Halloween season 2015 and  what better time to finish up with some reviews we didn't have time to post last season. Hopefully this will keep everyone entertained while the days tick away!

Up first is a fantastic yard display in Arlington Heights, IL - Scary's Forest Frights. This one even has two giant wooden skeletons that are handmade - lots to see here!

Another Christmas haunt this year was the Frightmare before Xmas at Lombard Commonwealth Haunted House in Lombard, IL. This one promised a twist on various Christmas themes - did it deliver? We'd have to say yes it did! We enjoyed the Christmas version more than the standard Halloween one - well done!

One of our favorite annual yard displays is Hills of Unrest in New Lenox, IL. This one has a nice mix of the whimsical and the creepy, with several nods to famous horror movie characters past and present. It's definitely worth a look!

Here's a small yard display, located on the south side of Chicago. This one's called Haunt on Massasoit, and features a small static display with some demon babies, giant spiders and more!

Located on Old Mill Grove Road, Kill on Old Mill is designed to resemble a cemetery, complete with tombstones and various ghoulish figures. One oft he most interesting things about the setup was the fact that many of the figures were dressed in real clothing that was made to look old and, in some cases, burned. This was a nice touch that added authenticity to the entire display.
