SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 64-bit for Raspberry Pi 3

SUSE have released a version of their Linux Enterprise Server product that supports Raspberry Pi 3.

"Yes, we actually took the enterprise grade, 64-bit, Linux operating system that is used around the world to support mission critical workloads in financial institutions, air traffic control centers, manufacturing centers, and high performance computing centers – and put it on a $35 credit card-sized computer."

Why is this important? Because for the first time there is an official 64-bit operating system release from a major vendor, with support for the onboard wireless networking and Bluetooth. SUSE have kindly upstreamed the patches that they needed to make this work, so hopefully official support from other vendors won’t be far behind.

See https://www.raspberrypi.org/blog/suse-linux-enterprise-server-for-raspberry-pi/
Raspberry Pi 3, with its quad-core ARM Cortex-A53 processor, is our first 64-bit product, supporting ARM’s A64 instruction set and the ARMv8-A architecture. However, we’ve not yet taken the opportunity to ship a 64-bit operating system: our Raspbian images are designed to run on every Raspberry Pi, including the 32-bit ARMv6 Raspberry Pi 1 and …

Just what we need to obfuscate "he who must not be named."  If the media cannot do it you can have your browser do it for you.
Add this app to your Chrome browser and replace all instances of "Trump" with "Drumpf."

They have found the Andromedia Strain.
Here’s the weekly summary of both new chemistry research and studies that have been in the news. This week features a new noodly form of carbon, a bacteria that eats the plastic found in plastic bottles, and more. As always, links to further articles and original research

We liked how the old constitution allowed us to be free enough to take power peacefully. Now that we have a majority we will rewrite it to oppress others and make it so no one can take power from us peacefully. #IdiotsInCharge
Turkey's secularist character is "not up for debate", its PM says, following a controversial call for its new constitution to be religion-based.

A mashup of passions can create a unique original that reflects on what came before like nothing else. Do not binge on this in one sitting as if it were a streamed season of a tv series. It is philosophy, as both originals are; so, read one and take a moment to look back and see what path it has traced through your mind.

I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I...

Site of fun facts. +Compound Interest For example, this article:

http://www.compoundchem.com/2014/08/21/chemistryofhoney/

"Glucose and fructose can also be referred to as dextrose and levulose respectively. These two sugars are actually structural isomers, as they have the same chemical formula. The names ‘dextrose’ and ‘levulose’ refer to their effect on plane-polarised light. Due to the difference in the arrangement of the atoms, dextrose rotates plane-polarised light to the right, whilst levulose rotates it to the left. The prefixes ‘dextro-‘ and ‘levulo-‘ come from the latin for right and left respectively."

Helpful, knowledgeable staff. Well appointed and very clean rooms. Ideal location near metro and national zoo and several decent nearby restaurants. Situated high enough to have a view of some of the nearby memorials. No shuttle from Regan International (~$30 cab or direct metro line) or other more distant area airports.

Two years ago we (family of four) stayed here and were very happy with the location (as close to Millipark as you can practically get in Guzel Camli), the facilities (best pool of all the hotels in town, great rooms with air conditioning, excellent spa, nice pool side bar, and spacious dining area with excellent selection and quality of food included). In general the service was excellent and I'd like to give it three out of three but I witnessed too many stressful staff interactions (with each each other and sometimes with unreasonable guests) to be able to give it perfect marks. Hopefully they smoothed out the bumps in staff and practices as it is a star on the map for the otherwise tiny beach retreat.
