When I was 9 or 10 years old in public school I mastered the Ukulele as they didn't have a guitar as a choice for an instrument. The Ukulele was the closest thing to it. I have always sang along in the car to music with my mother ever since I could remember and my mother still sings to this day.
As I got older my parents purchased a guitar for me at a garage sale and I learned to tune it and play chords all by myself. I have always had a good ear for music.
When I was 15 years old I met some musicians (Chris Latta, Jack Smith & Karry Jackson (Manitou), who went to my school and had a jam hall. They invited me there one day and was hooked from that day on!
A year later I was renting hall space from them and learning some great stuff from guitarist Chris Latta.
I formed a band in the late 80's called "Class Clown".
In 1989, I was in another band named "Method To Madness", and this is the band I performed my first gig with @ the Old Coronet on Victoria St. In Kitchener. I still have the video to this day!
2 years later bassist Jack Smith aka "Captain Space Bass" asked me and guitarist Nathan LeBlanc, formerly of Method To Madness to play in a band with him called "Stoned Sons". We went on to do many shows for some years and eventually changed the name to "Uncle Jacks Mushroom Band" and then to just "Uncle Jacks Band."
In 1995, I met Christine Noonan, a very talented singer and we formed a band called "Christine & Company". The following year, October 1996 her & I formed the band "X-Hale" and went on to play constantly until June 2009 Opening for such great Canadian Talent as David Wilcox, Jeff Healey, Trooper & Bobnoxious to name a few. X-Hale also recorded and released a CD in 2000 titled "Let It Out"
In April 2008, I joined a band named "Sons Of Sound" formerly known as "Tripping Stone" and played many gigs until August 2009.
In August 2009, Christine Noonan and I got back together and re-kindled Christine & Company with guitarist Nathan LeBlanc & It was an all acoustic band and lasted until Summer 2011.
Presently considering starting up another rock band in winter 2011.
