This is the most personal post I've written; it could be no other way. Miscarriage is a unique form of loss. As the mother, you're the only one who had a true opportunity to emotionally bond with the child. Many times, you feel alone in your grief. Those who haven't experienced it have a hard time knowing what to do to help because people just don't talk about it.

It's okay to not know what to do to help; most of the time, we don't even know what we need.

It's okay to want as much or as little support as you need. But most importantly, please know that it's okay to talk about it. You're not alone.

We talk a lot about suicide where I work, but it's not something that only happens within the walls of healthcare facilities. Here's what you need to know if someone you care about might be headed in that direction.

Pregnancy and childbirth can be amazing, but unexpected events related to either can cause stress for the parents. Here's a list of some things you can do to keep the experience positive, no matter what happens (along with a discussion section for those who want to add their ideas)!

Yes women, you have the right to decide what to do with your body. You do not, however, have the right to terminate the body developing inside of you. That body is NOT your body.

Three weeks ago, my husband and I were asked to speak in church (give sermons) on the gifts of the Spirit. When we received our topics, I thought 'how could I possibly talk for 15-20 minutes on this topic?' Once preparations started, however, I found that it could easily be done.

I learned a lot from my preparations for this talk and I like to share what I learn. Thus, I've reposted my talk here for those who are interested.
