Does this place really need a review or is the line around the block enough to tell you that it is awesome after decades of being in business? The line usually moves pretty fast so I wouldn't really let it deter you. Unless I'm behind you in line...in that case. You may want to just check out Jackson's or Boscos down the street. They're great too! ;-) *I pretty much can't not go here without ordering the "Freeeeeennch Toast"!

I had heard that this was the best place in Nashville for breakfast. I don't disagree one it. I was able to go in when it wasn't busy like it usually is, our order was taken promptly and the food came out fast, hot and delicious. I would have rated this a 5 star but the profanity that I heard coming of the kitchen made me rate this a 4. I was clear across the restaurant and heard write a few choice words and there was no doubt that they were coming from the kitchen. It's a family place and and a business. Don't let that change your mind about going. The food is amazing!!

Absolutely amazing. The service is phenomenal, and the food is even better. The line was long, but once you get to the front, they are super efficient and get to serving you right away. The sweet potato pancakes with the cinnamon syrup is to DIE for. I highly recommend it!!

During an impromptu weekend trip to Nashville, the wife and I searched for and found the Pancake Pantry as our local, non-chained eatery for Sunday brunch (we found out about another location in Gatlinburg later that day - lol). Nice little place - open dining area, extremely friendly and courteous staff, reasonable prices, great food. I tried the sweet potato pancakes which, as a few other reviewers have mentioned, were really tasty. Despite being a cinnamon fan, I was less impressed with the cinnamon cream syrup than most others (a little cinnamon sometimes goes a long way), and opted for the maple syrup which worked very well on its own. Of all the things I tried though, the one thing that stood out as absolutely fantastic were the hash browns. Little chunks of starchy goodness - crisp, thick, and hearty - absolutely loved them and highly recommend them to anyone that can't do a breakfast/brunch without 'em. From what I understand there's typically a lengthy wait for a seat but, judging from our visit, it's not much longer than 30 mins or so. YMMV though, especially considering the day you visit. One thing to note - the place stays open (at least on Sundays) til 4pm, and by 1pm the line was significantly shorter to get in, so if you're not a fan of waiting in line, that may be a good tip to remember. All in all we enjoyed the eats and experience at the Pancake Pantry and will most likely visit again after giving a few other local hotspots at least a try first. Give it a shot - I doubt you'll leave dissatisfied.
