If you've got a +Regal Cinemas and an +AC Moore near you, you could have a Wednesday of fun for $1!

We're a little over the mid-way point of summer for most families, particularly here in Chester County. School begins in a little over a month, and while there is still time to do fun things, lots of parents are finding their "Bank of Activity Ideas" running dry. I have a GREAT day of fun for ...

::drumroll::

Here's a peek at my second +Stitch Fix!  Feedback, please!

#StitchFix
(Before we get started: if you need a background in Stitch Fix, see my first post.) OK. So as I shared a few weeks ago, I did my first Stitch Fix. You can read about my initial Fix here. It was overall a great box, but slightly off target for my style and a little high in price.

You got through a Target trip without spending $100?

G'head, girl. Eat that chocolate.

http://bit.ly/1IPiWEZ
It's been a long day. SO long. Irrationally long. After a historical battle that will most likely be taught in future high school classrooms, the kids are finally in bed. And you are eyeing up that pint of wickedly delicious ice cream in our freezer, or the perfectly lonely bottle (let's be ...

"Yet somehow, in the span of 2 hours, #insideout  helped me (a 33 year old woman) understand my emotions better than any class, textbook or therapist I've ever encountered."

Why you need to see Inside Out and how it will change you as a parent (and emotion-bearing human) forever: http://bit.ly/1J1htxN.
To the Creators of Disney Pixar's Inside Out: My world has been rocked. I've been home for about two hours since your movie, Inside Out, ended. And I haven't been able to stop thinking about it. What started out as a tentative (we'll get to that in a minute) movie date with my daughter's turned ...

This is my cautionary tale about the grossness of sweaty running clothes (and how +HEX Performance  is a godsend).

ALSO? 10 lucky people will win a FREE HEX product - so be sure to enter -> http://bit.ly/1R927Jt.

One of the important aspects that people grossly underestimate when they take up running is the attire. Not for looks, per se. But it's really important to make sure you are wearing the right type of clothing when working out. Why? Athletic wear allows for movement and helps your body to breathe ...

After some solid research, I'm putting out my Summer Reading List for 2015 in late July.

--> http://www.moderndaydonnareed.com/2015/07/stephs-summer-reading-list-2015.html

#books   #summerreading
OK, yeah, I know it's nearly the end of July. So posting a "Summer" Reading List seems a little late to the game. But here's the thing about Reading Lists: you can use them all the time. Like, why do we make this big deal about people reading in the summer? I know when I go to the beach or the ...

Who wants to win a pool?

We had a blast reviewing the +Backyard Ocean Swimming Pools Float-to-Fill Ring Pool. And I'm giving away one on my blog - head over to enter!

#Swimming   #Pool   #Giveaway
One of the best parts about summer is swimming, right? As a kid, we didn't belong to a pool. So, I was always overly-ecstatic every time I was taken to a friend's pool. I thought it was pretty much the Best. Thing. Ever. When we couldn't make it to our friends' pools, we had one of those tiny ...

Whip up some S'Mizza on your grill tonight: Grilled S'mores Pizza!

http://bit.ly/1R77G0q
So I had a culinary epiphany last night that might have made me the coolest mom that ever walked the earth. I was making Cheeseburger Stromboli (a variant to my Easy Homemade Stromboli that I was trying out), and had half a pound of raw pizza dough left over. What was I supposed to do with a ...

Here are all my thoughts on my first +Stitch Fix  box. Now give me your feedback on what to keep, what to send back: http://bit.ly/1Kb7uYl .
I'd been hearing about Stitch Fix for a while now, but I dismissed it because it sounded like some subscription service for people who were more fashionable than me. I understood the general idea that they paid a monthly fee and got sent clothes to try out. If they liked the clothes, ...

A little update on our Big Move and becoming accidental vegetable gardeners: http://bit.ly/1JcymIR. #gardening
Things have been quiet here on the blogfront, but I chalk that up to the fact that it was about a month ago that we did The Big Move into our new house. Which is a weird concept, as the house is far from new to us, since I grew up here. But we're new to owning the house.

My response to the #Duggar interview, and why their response to abuse is a disservice to past, present and future victims everywhere.

http://bit.ly/1RMLSnG
I came across this article recapping the Duggar interview from last night (which I didn't watch). And it was painful to read through. I'm as tired of hearing about this as the next guy. And a lot of people have commented on what a travesty this is that 1) such a big deal is being made out of ...

A pee a little every time I laugh or sneeze. I also have a dangerous relationship with ice cream.
Introduction

One day when Steph leaves this world, she will be known for many things: Imperfect mother. English teacher's wife. Baking a wicked apple crisp. Shopping yet remaining unfashionable. Struggling to discern the line between reality and fantasy on TV shows. Passionately eating ice cream. Peeing a little every time she sneezes or laughs. Deep thoughts. Laughable housekeeping. Secretly crushing on MacGyver. And being a world-class blogger. Join her as she adventures through blogging, life, marriage, cooking, parenting and bringing sexy back, but not necessarily in that order. You can find her at Confessions of a Stay-at-Home Mom.

Stephanie loves community.  When she started blogging over 3 years ago, it was Steph's intent to reach out to any and every mother of the world, so they would know they were not alone on this journey called Motherhood. Since then, she has successfully (and somewhat humorously) redefined The Modern Day Donna Reed. Her blog has gained a faithful readership who explores parenthood, cooking, learning, growing, watching great TV shows and unabashedly loving the 90's.  The Confessions of a Stay-at-Home Mom blog has a lively and growing Facebook Page where there is a constant chatter.

Steph is passionate about things she loves, and is influential when sharing about something she believes in. She is the social media director/blogger for her local farmer's market, West Chester Growers Market, and is a regular contributor to thePhilly Burb Moms sites and MetroKids magazine, as well as the Philadelphia City Manager for SavvySource..  Steph is also an active member of Philly Social Media Moms.
