An interesting piece on Andrew Offutt, high volume paperback author.
What Andrew Offutt, the king of 20th-century smut novels, left his son.

I know. He seemed a bit crazy. I liked the "Babylon-on-the-Hudson" term

It's amazing we made it out of that dark time.

How I remember this great panic evolving around Dungeons & Dragons while I was a young tweener having fun playing this game: a lesson we should not soon forget...

It was only the light of the bright fires of hell which showed us the way. With the reasonable lease-back rates on our souls, the eternal payment schedule seems reasonable, no? ;)

The Paperback Fanatic has shared a nice little holiday e-zine with a piece called Christmas in Pulpland. It's a look at SF and horror stories with a christmas theme.

As always, if you like please get in touch with Justin at thepaperbackfanatic.com and tell him you saw it here. Get a subscription or an issue for Christmas too!

Hey I just received the September 2013 issue of The Paperback Fanatic in the mail this week.

Justin has put together another fantastic looking issue with the theme of Comics into Paperbacks.

Again, if you have the ability and desire then get yourself a sub to this increasingly quality mag.

Tell him you saw it here on Paperback Book Hunters!

I'm finally starting to get some of my recent paperback finds scanned. Here is an album that should be updated fairly regularly.

More fresh trailers from Comic-Con: here's Mad Max: Fury Road!
One of the biggest movies of next year will without a doubt be the return of Mad Max in the sequel Fury Road, and the film already started to wow audiences yesterday at Warner Bros.' big Comic-Con...

I'd like to point you to a new website I just heard about. Sleaze is not really my thing in paperback collecting but you have to admire the work that has gone into this archive.

"This archive documents the 4300 books published under various company names and imprints from 1959 to 1975. As a group they are informally known as the vintage Greenleaf Classics books."

David Cochrane (dcsbooks@peoplepc.com) does an approximately monthly book auction via email. He has a wide range of genre paperbacks available. My feeling is that they are generally a bit overpriced but he certainly has some hard to find titles.

Just email him to get on the mailing list.

I just ran across a new men's action adventure blog and wanted to share it with the folks here as well as point out a couple of other places that are good paperback resources.

www.paperbackwarrior.blogspot.ca has just started up but looks to be a fun blog to follow.

glorioustrash.blogspot.ca/ is a blog written by Joe Kenney that has been around for several years now. Joe has gone from strength to strength in his reviews and writings about the world of "trash"
fiction and sleaze. Some of his writing is now showing up in The Paperback Fanatic magazine I mentioned earlier.

jamesreasoner.blogspot.ca/ James Reasoner, a prolific genre author, has a great little blog where he writes about film, books and other ephemera.

therapsheet.blogspot.ca/ keeps you updated with the world of crime fiction including reviews, events and information.

todaysinspiration.blogspot.ca/ Leif Peng writes a fantastic blog about early illustrators of books, magazines and advertising. These guys were really rock stars of their era and did some amazing work.

Do you have any suggestions?

Glorious Trash has a great (and weird) letter from the phantom author of the classic Death Merchant books. Man I was into those when I was a kid. #YonhonNukiteKillingBlow
