Meanwhile, down at the construction site...

Found this one here: http://www.damncoolpictures.com/2009/09/funny-demotivational-posters.html (which you might want to visit if you seek more such humor).

And now the news... This weekend, the distance between France and Britain got a little bit bigger.

And if that doesn't cause any feelings of consternation, I just need to share with you the weather forecast for Great Britain. https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2017/apr/22/cold-snap-will-send-uk-temperatures-tumbling

(I dare say the UK press won't be much talking about "global warming" in the coming weeks, but "climate change" might make it into the news there). But, hey! it's only one late April/early May. Can't seriously paint it as climate change until we have more data points or are forced to close down a golf course or 2 because the water in the sprinkler lines froze up and split the pipes. Not to mention what happened to the member who was on the 13th green when he froze up similarly. No need to worry. The member in question wasn't anybody of particular importance to this administration.

Maybe Trump should charter a ship to carry coal to New Castle!

Sophia Loren. Can you ID the movie that the clips are from?

Arguably relevant to this community, though the song also makes me think of Admiral Ackbar ("It's a trap").

Skip Jack Point, Shark Bay, Western Australia. Yet another place I've never even been near to. http://www.australiascoralcoast.com/destinations/shark-bay-region. I gather that's the Indian Ocean that is so blue in the picture.

White cliffs from a different angle. In the US they'd probably put up a safety fence (sigh!). Not a good place to walk while texting.
