Had dinner last night with a large group of friends. Down on our end of the table we ordered a bunch of different items.. All delicious!! We started with the Som Tam, which is a papaya salad - excellent! For entrees we had Peanut Curry - spicy as hell, but awesome. Do not mess around with this one.. It will burn ya! Also had the Kai Yaang, which is the charcoal rotisserie chicken, The Son in Law, and the Beef Fried Rice. Each dish was unique and extremely tasty. The menu is a bit pricey, but worth the splurge every now and then. Definitely check it out!

Amazing Thai food, the best I've had in Austin and possibly ever. I took my mom there and she said that out of the Thai restaurants she's visited, Sway's is the closest to the food she's had in Thailand! We had the whole snapper and, if I could give it 6 stars, I would. The presentation and the taste of the fish were immaculate. I would also recommend the green papaya salad, Jungle Curry, and Peanut Curry. The ambiance is also really great: warm, relaxed and modern.

The curries are some of the best tastes I've ever had in my mouth. I liked the communal dining experience. Two meals here, and I've yet to taste an appetizer I really like. But there are the desserts. They are interesting, they are fun, they offer delight. But if you're looking for a big piece of chocolate cake, this isn't the place for that. Be prepared to be treated to something that is "outside the box." I wouldn't say they are the most satisfying desserts, but I love the experience. Definitely try the 5 spice ice cream

Sway was tough to get in to but worth the wait! We had Charity as our server and she was very knowledgeable and helpful in making the occasion special. Don't be afraid of the "vinegar" drinks, the apple was delicious. I was pleasantly surprised by the final bill. Strongly recommended.

Great dinner spot. Communal or bar seating, intimate lighting. The dishes are meant to be shared and arrive with no rhyme or reason, so something marked as an entree might arrive before your appetizer, but the food is great enough that you probably won't mind. The Thai Tea Affogato is one of the better, albeit simple, desserts that I've had in town. It can be a little loud, so be prepared for that.

That huge Lotus neon light sign...yea that's Sway. If you turn in there's free valet parking for you. Otherwise feel free to park in the lot where all the food trailers are. 45 minute wait...expected. Very dim lighting inside...expected. Sharing large tables with strangers...expected. How spicy their food was...not expected! The Son in Law was by far my favorite dish. The spiciness level for this dish was mild, which was perfect for me. The pork shoulder and crispy farm egg were to die for. The sauce was sweet and flavorful. I would definitely order this dish again. Let's talk about that Jungle Curry. Yes I knew it was going to be spicy, but HOLY MOTHER OF GOD...that was SPICY!!! The wagyu beef and coconut curry were so good that I forced myself to gobble the curry down my mouth, then shove some rice, chew, swallow, drink lots and lots of water. It was painfully delicious! If you're like me and can't handle spicy, I highly recommend ordering an Iced Thai Tea. That Thai Tea saved my life; if I didn't order it I would have been spitting out flames! Best spiciness reliever drink ever. Portion wise I was a good full after sharing two dishes. But my girlfriend and I decided to order the Pad Thai just to see what it tasted like. To be honest I wasn't a big fan of it maybe because it's not your usual Pad Thai. I just didn't think the flavors matched up. But that's not to say it was bad...just not my type. For dessert I tried the Jasmine Tea Panna Cotta. A very good refreshing dessert to end the meal on. I loved the coconut-lychee sorbet...try it!

Sway hasn't shared anything with you.
