Pizzeria Uno was my final stop on my trip to the windy city, and it was definitely worth going and eating there, despite how busy they seemed to be. The location is pretty accessible and they validate parking in a nearby parking ramp if you choose to drive there, but as with most of Chicago walking there is also a good choice. The wait was around 45 minutes with a pretty full house, and the pizza is started when you tell the host what you want, so it only took a few minutes after we sat down to get our pizza. We ordered a large Four Cheese and pesto pizza, the staff was friendly if not a little overzealous, and the pizza itself was fantastic especially for those who love cheese. I'd definitely recommend it for the history and for the food, and if you're a pizza lover I can assure you won't be disappointed, while the place is old fashioned in some ways the food was worth the wait.

Terrible experience. I've been here once back in 2009 and the pizza was great and even though it takes them around 1 hour to get your deep dish pie ready, they let us know so we could walk around and explore something else in the mean time. BUT, this time we got there and inquired about the wait time. The lady at the font said it'll take 45 mins (which is fine) but that we have to sit there and wait. So we decided to sit at the bar and ordered a couple drinks and a chicken bites order. 1.5 hour goes by and they finally told us the pizza was ready. Upon asking why it took so long, the Manager mentioned they were calling out my name outside the restaurant where they make people wait in the cold. Regardless, we decided to get the pizza at the bar at which point they break it up into multiple piece and bring it on 3 different plates. This completely ruined the experience of getting the deep dish in the pan. What kind of place doesn't want their customers to have the actual experience? They didn't even was warn us that they'll have to break up the pizza like that if we decided to stay at the bar. I mean, this is your main selling point (the deep dish pizza in the pan) and you won't even let your customer know what is the best way to have that experience? Please go to Lou Manelati's instead - the service was great. The server let us place the order (without charging) and walk out to explore the city while they got our Pizza ready. Pizza Uno has lost its touch.

The online wait times were grossly underrated. We ordered at 8 pm, food wasn't ready till 9:30 despite being told to come at 8:45 at the latest. The spaghetti was acidic and watery and almost inedible with burnt meatballs. The salad was tasteless and our order was wrong. Pizza was fine but don't stray from that.

Great service and one of the best deep dish pizzerias in downtown Chicago. Other great deep dish pizzerieas to try would be Giordano's and Lou Malnati's.

Food was fine but the service was horrible. They do not care how long it takes....and I'm not even talking about the long pizza wait. Literally ate entire meal and didn't have a drink. Ordered a hurricane drink when first sat down but waitress asked me to taste because there was a different bartender and the color of my drink looked funny. After asking to switch to a Blue moon beer it took over twenty minutes after she took back bad drink. She then added when she brought the bill that she took original drink off the bill.......but of course didn't mentioned she charged me for replacement drink that arrived same time the bill came. She also was very slow at even getting the simplest things. She only checked on our table one time in an hour. Her rude attitude which I think she thought was funny cost her a good tip and definitely costs other patrons a fun dining experience. Would also be wrong not to mention the abundance of fruit flies landing on your food throughout your meal.....

If you are looking for a magical and taste - satisfying experience, the Pizzerua Uno is the place for you. One bite of their deep dish sends you to a blissful world of cheese, sauce, and the flakiest dough. This pizza makes you regret eating anything else at this fine establishment. I would take back every other bite of pizza I've had in this beautiful city of Chicago. Let me break down the ingredients and how wonderful they are. The Crust: Flaky, buttery, perfectly crispy on one side and as fluffy as a pillow on the other. The Cheese: Melted to culinary perfection! End of discussion. The Sause: An elegant blend of tomatoes and spices. Balanced and tasty, without trying too hard. When these different ingredients are married together, it is a holy and unbreakable union only broken apart by teeth. When it's all over and you have finished the pizza, you feel not only completely fulfilled in life, appetite-wise and sexually. IT'S WORTH THE WAIT PEOPLE!!!!

Nice atmosphere, cozy place. Bartender was friendly. Pizza took over an hour to arrive. Ordered a small pepperoni for takeaway. Was good but the crust was too crispy and there was too much sauce and too little cheese. Had to stand by the kitchen and ask for an update regarding my order. Turns out, it was ready15 mins ago and kept in the warmer. Waiters didn't bother to check if I was waiting for my order. I would only come back if Giordano's was too packed.

Went there for lunch after the Chicago Marathon around noon. Was not yet crowded and food and service was good.
