Stayed here for 2 nights as a treat for my other-half. The room was a good size, and the bed comfortable. We stayed at other fancy-houses similar to this before, - but Tinakilly House was a below the standard we would expect. The whole place feels a bit tired and need an injection of cash to spruce it up. However, - the real disappointment is the food. The menu contained just 3 mains (steak, fish or chicken, - and that’s your lot !!). I’ve never seen a more boring menu in my life. The whole point of staying in a place like this, is to enjoy a lovely meal in the house. How can anyone call himself a chef with so little (zero) culinary flare or imagination.

I was here for a wedding in July 2014 and absolutely loved this venue. The staff were outstanding, the location was beautiful and the venue itself was sensational. Could not recommend this venue highly enough.

My wife and I have just returned from a fabulous overnight in Tinakilly Country House Hotel. Our experience was amazing - far and beyond what we expected! The hotel is a Victorian Mansion and set in a most wonderful setting with acres of space to roam and enjoy. This festive time the approach to the hotel is majestic with the outdoor trees lit up. As soon as we arrived on site we knew we were somewhere special. We kicked off our stay with 'Sparkly on Ice' by one of their open fires under the one of the largest ChristmasTree's we have ever seen indoors! - oh how enjoyable. What we were struck by right through our stay was the determination of the entire staff to ensure that our stay was a great success and so it was. Nothing was ever too much trouble and a friendly staff member was never too far away. Our Junior Suite (Room 41) had a full width window with fabulous view of the grounds and the Wicklow Murrough inland waterways. Then to the Diningroom! - we enjoyed a superb A La Carte Meal - clearly the chefs here are of exceptional skill - we both had Fillet Steaks which were cooked to perfection and of most generous size. Enough said we are looking forward to a return visit! Tinakilly House Hotel as it is a real gem in the Wicklow area. We have no hesitation in recommending it.

Location is out of town and on the water. Great outdoor space for a lovely walk around. Good food with a nice breakfast option as well. Fantastic large room with a few of the water. Visited back in 2013 and can't wait to go back

Most relaxing place to spend a weary winter's afternoon - afternoon tea to die for. Good food and reasonably priced.

We are just back from a most enjoyable two night stay at beautiful Tinakilly House. We woke up on Saturday morning to stunning gardens and sea views from our bedroom windows. The views are spectacular. After breakfast I had a 90 minute massage with their in-house masseuse Pam, she was excellent and had me totally chilled out. We toured around the Wicklow area during the day and ate both nights in their restaurant, the food, staff and atmosphere were top class. I would highly recommend their scallops and their fillet steak dish, followed by their to die for fresh fruit meringues. We have booked our next romantic stay in early October and the new owners are doing a fantastic job transforming this beautiful county house. We will certainly be recommending Tinakilly to all our friends.

Tinakilly house has lovely grounds and a number of cosy lounge rooms to snuggle up with a drink by the fireplaces. The only challenge is getting that drink. While there were some friendly and helpful members of staff, service in general was very slow and we had to repeat requests multiple times as our orders had been forgotten (I can count at least 3 times this happened). The bar didnt have Guinness available throughout our stay and customers were repeatedly told the delivery was "coming soon". The quality of food in the Prestige menu was good but, had I not been there on a deal, I would have been very disappointed with the price tag on it. We had to ask for the wines throughout the meal, which were supposed to accompany the menu, which gave the impression they weren't planned and paired with the courses. The rooms were very traditionally furnished and were quite spacious (we stayed in a junior suite)
