For the last eight years I have been heavily involved in the design industry. Many of my personal and professional interests have been focused on growing as an art director, creating impacting designs and educating others on the value of effective branding.
Since 2008 I have served as art director for The Mash a teen-focused media brand produced by the Chicago Tribune. My responsibilities include art direction, layout, campaign planning and hiring freelance talent. I have successfully led the visual direction of The Mash to become the number one source of news and entertainment for its audience. Prior to that I was a senior designer for Johnson Publishing Company where I worked on Ebony and Jet Magazines.
