The first song I learned how to play was Beck's "Golden Age" on my Luna Gypsy Spalt guitar that my wonderful wife bought as a birthday present for me three years ago now for my birthday.

It's had a warranty repair for a twisted neck once, and it's going in again. A few buzzes everywhere and a very bad buzz 12th fret up... after this warranty repair it's being sold... goodbye guitar. I thought it only fitting to record the song I first learned on it for the memory.

Next guitar will show up here soon...

Very nice.  Kind of sad like the loss of a friend should be =-)

Another Beck cover of mine... a couple mic pops but I thought it was still good enough to share. :)
You can listen to the original here and compare if you'd like. Let me know what you think...https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=plhLnMz396U

Being that it's "Sunday Morning" and I felt like doing a very quick cover... I thought I'd share this cover I made this morning...
It's my cover of Beck's cover of Velvet Underground's song. Just two takes of me playing guitar and singing, and adding an airy vocal track beside it.

Using samples from vintage news broadcasts and in-flight NASA chatter, a British duo tells the story of the Space Age's first 15 years.

Letting you guys know, I have to work until 6 today and then head home. So I'll be late for the game tonight. Please feel free to start without me. I can hop on when I get home and try to play. I just can't know exactly when that is, maybe 6:45-7 at the earliest.

Soooo.... CoC D20 wins!

I'd like to start ASAP on getting a setting together for you folks, I hope not to disappoint you on my first round of GM'ing.

The game is setup for 1920's or early 2000's settings, but I'm just going to go ahead and say it's 1920's we are playing in because that would be more "fantasy" and it's not as cool when you can call someone on your cell phone for help. ;)

If you are wondering what makes CoC D20 different or special... it's kind of Cthluhu "lite" in that your heroes are probably more powerful than they would be in the Chaosium versions. The book was written by Monte Cook and it's one of my favorite books to peruse/look through... but it's old and now and no official PDF was ever available.

I've uploaded it to the already existing CoC folder if you'd like to take a gander, I only ask you don't looks too deep into the adventures in the back as I may be using that material for our game.

Please feel free to share your thoughts and any character concept /setting ideas you'd like to experience.

Well my Mushkin SSD died. I bought it 4 years and 3 months ago. It was on sale (on sale!) for $179.99 at the time, for a mere 90GB of storage.
When I bought it, it was a kind of experiment. Not many people had used SSD in 2010, and it was a bit scary to put money into something unproven to the general public.
The rumor was that SSD's just up and fail without warning, well that was exactly what happened. ;) From working to dead in a flash (get it?).
Still, 4 years and 3 months of fairly heavy use is a better success story than many HDDs.

For a quick note: $179.99 today will get you a 480GB SSD with twice the theoretical speeds...
