"He is the risk worth taking". That's just it. Jesus is risk. Not the life-as-usual, tried and true ... SAFE way that everybody else is doing it. But something else. Off the grid. One must be willing to let go of the old ways to follow Jesus. I like Peter's "stewing", asking what choice do we have? Indeed.

When I was a child, I remember that there was a prayer for a "happy death", but I don't remember which one. Maybe it was just my father who told me that in his own words.

This is in northern Vermont, just north of Burlington. It was settled by the Jesuit Blackrobes and is now run by the congregation that runs St. Michael the Archangel College.
