Ear Bud Case
Another Christmas present.  Can't say who this if for yet, because I don't know.  I found the tutorial here for these.  Except this one is a bit larger.  The original size is great for regular ear buds, but it's too small for the kind that fit over your ear...

Vintage Fabrics
My mother-in-law gave me a trash bag full of vintage fabrics sometime last year.  I hadn't figured out what to do with them until now.  I thought they would make a beautiful lap quilt - the apple core variety.  I probably chose one of the hardest quilts to ...

Baby Gift Ideas
One of my dearest friends had her first grandchild last week.  Needless to say, she is beyond elated!  I wanted to make a few things for baby Gray. I have made this changing pad before, but I'm a bit partial to this one.  I chose to use chenille fabric this...

UGA Apron
This is another fun apron from Sew4Home .  My friend, Sandy Martin, at Quarterdeck Quilts in Springfield, GA helped coordinate the fabrics.  She really has a knack for that.  Something I lack. :) I didn't have the right size ric rac on hand, so I used 1 1/4...

UGA Makeup Pouch (pleated)
School will be out in just a 2 weeks!  My, the time has flown this year.  I think it gets worse as we get older.  But I digress..... We always like to send gifts to Robbie's teachers at the end of the year.  This one is for his math teacher.  She is, like...

Sewing Machine-less!!
I have been the proud owner of a Viking 500 Computer machine for 20+ years.  That machine has been a real trooper with all the sewing I put her through.  Poor baby just didn't have it in her any longer.  She was put out to pasture earlier this month.  I hav...

Apple Core Quilt Top
This is a crummy picture, but it's the finished top.  I'll post a better one when it's all finished. This is the vintage fabric my MIL gave me a few months back.  Her favorite color is blue, so I picked out all the blues and whites.  I will leave the edges ...

DIY Fabric Boxes
I needed some fabric boxes for a client, so I went searching on my favorite spot ever:  Pinterest. Does anyone not like Pinterest?!?  Anyway, I found this awesome tutorial on fabric boxes and thought I'd try it.  And I love the result. This is a fairly big ...

Tie Top Window Panels
The lighting in this room was not good, so my apologies for the darker photos.  These are much prettier in person than in the photos. This was a job for a client, and she was specific about the tie tops.  She found some crystal door knobs and screwed those ...

Fun Apron
This is another gift for one of Robbie's very special teachers.  I don't think she reads my blog, so it won't ruin the surprise. ;)  This came from Sew4Home .  There is a matching girl's apron too. This picture doesn't do this apron justice at all.  It is m...

Patchwork Teddy Bear for Threads of Love
My new machine came in last weekend, and this is the first project sewn with her.  I have never made a teddy bear before. I have quite a few
little areas that need improvement. We had two boxes of donated wedding
gowns and bridesmaids dresses and the fa...

Hadley's Tween Halter Top Dress - Review
This is a 3 in 1 pattern including a top, dress and maxi.  Overall, it's a good pattern.  My biggest pet peeve is the illustrations.  Some of the photos are of completely different fabric, meaning they weren't using the same fabric for the bodice in every p...
I generated this blog to keep track of all my friends/family gifts. I love all things sewing, smocking, quilting, and embroidery.

Introduction
I am happily married with 3 children.  I love sewing.  It's almost an obsession.  I'm not afraid to tackle any project no matter how big or small; although, taking classes to shorten my time involved is definitely a plus!

We were very impressed with the service and the work performed. Yes, they charge a premium. But they are worth every penny, and I firmly believe you pay for what you get. My house looked like they had never been there. They were very conscientious about cleaning up behind themselves. They were careful not to mark walls or floors and kept paper down the entire time. Our units were difficult to get to, so that was not an easy task. We knew what to expect at every level, because they were very clear from the beginning. They went over the system's operation as well as warranty at the end. And when our old system was down, they were very prompt in getting it running multiple times before our new units went in. They did just what they said and did it in the amount of time promised. They are a well oiled machine. I highly recommend them and would use them again.

Very nice hotel. Clean!!! The staff was always extremely helpful and very pleasant. All the hotels inside Athens were booked, so we chose this one just outside. It was very convenient though to everything in Athens. I will stay here anytime I'm in Athens. It is by far one of the best hotels in which I've stayed. Check other reviews on this hotel at TripAdvisors.
