The WIRETEST 2, motorized tester is specifically designed to test the quality of wire terminals, crimps and lugs. Produced with all the technology of our STENTOR universal force tester, the WIRETEST 2 can quickly and easily measure the pull out force to ensure acceptable production standards. The U.S. Mineral Products Company published their recent patent regarding compressive and flexural strength of fire resistant materials. These materials were produced in varying densities, with some samples coated in a water repellant and then placed on an ANDILOG force tester to undergo a compression test. The force tests revealed that the samples coated with the water repellant increased the compressive and flexural strength 10 – 30% depending on the density of the sample.

The Journal of Industrial and Engineering Chemistry recently completed a study on a new synthetic polymer used in fuel cells. Using an Andilog force tester and material testing software, they were able to study the tensile strain properties of the polymer in relation to its sulfur content before and after being heated.

The European Polymer Journal has presented a study focusing on elastomeric, mechanical behavior in chemically modified polymer films. In accordance with ASTM D638 and utilizing an Andilog tensile test system, an increase in tensile strength and a decrease in elongation at break, were shown after the film was chemically treated.

The International Conference on Nanomaterials and Material Engineering recently presented a study in which an ANDILOG tensile test system played an integral part.
The study aimed to show that by treating natural biocomposite fibers chemically and mechanically, they would possess the properties to replace conventional composite material in manufacturing.
Using our tensile test system, the researchers were able to determine both the tensile strength and shear properties of the samples used in the study.
