An update on Stephen from Dr. Smith -
I stopped at Stephen's house, but it was all locked up.
The neighbor kids said he had moved to the other side of the village, but did not know which house was his.
After locating his older sister at work we were taken to his new home.
...
Apparently the home he was staying in with his grandmother was too cold this time of year, so they all
packed up and moved into the home of his older sister.
When we arrived, Stephen was sitting in the morning sunlight outside of the home. He was looking pretty
bored, sitting outside the house making a God's eye (yarn and stick craft). I was glad to see him using his hands. He still can not use his legs to walk and continues to need assistance with dressing and activities of daily living.
There was a set back on his boarding school plans. Although he did obtain the required wheelchair and uniform
through the donated funding, there was not enough for other expenses such as family travel for visitation. We have
contacted his previous home school teacher and will again begin twice weekly classes at home.
